experiences that facilitate student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face to face
and virtual environments.

design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments
incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context
and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the Standards.

*The teacher MUST understand the technology the students are being asked to use. They
must know it well enough to teach their students how to use it efficiently

achieving and demonstrating competency in their learning goals, informed by the
learning sciences.
o 1a. Articulate and set personal learning goals, develop strategies leveraging
technology to achieve them and reflect on the learning process itself to improve
learning outcomes.
o 1b. Students build networks and customize their learning environments in ways
that support the learning process.
o 1c. Students use technology to seek feedback that informs and improves their
practice and to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.
o 1d. Students understand the fundamental concepts of technology operations,

These applications serve to improve teaching and learning. It incorporates
Web 2.0 skills to teach skills necessary for using the internet and
technology tools.
