Collaboration
Evaluate own and others contribution to group task, critiquing roles including leadership
and provide useful feedback to peers, evaluate task achievement and make
recommendations for improvements in relation to team goals.

ICT
Record and evaluate own and others performance in skills and fitness components using
the Hudl Technique app on their iPad. Students will analyse and develop a new
understanding in how the human body moves and how effective some skills are for elite
athletes and use that information to improve and/or adapt their own performance.

GOALS

To be able to recognise the components of fitness and to also recognise fitness

components necessary for successful performance in particular sports.
Students will identify and perform fitness components using the Hudl Technique
app.
Students will focus on what fitness component is needed for that skill or
technique.
Students will then explore and examine other sports that may be unfamiliar to
them and identify the fitness components that is necessary for that sport.
Students will develop an understanding and improve their knowledge and skills
theoretically and practically through the use of resources; digital and hard copy.

LESSON OUTCOMES AND INDICATORS

The student will:

1 Design, implement and evaluate personalise plans for improving or
maintaining their own and others physical activity and fitness levels
(ACPMP102)
2 Devise, implement and refine strategies demonstrating leadership and
collaboration skills when working in groups or teams (ACPMP105)
3 Plan, rehearse and deliver presentations, selecting and sequencing
appropriate content and multimodal elements foraesthetic and playful
purposes (ACELY1744)

Students will be given a fitness component. In pairs they must perform
a skill that they believe uses that fitness component
Notify students that no searching the internet is allowed for this
activity
The name of the fitness component will be given
Circulate the gym, observing students progress
Each pair will give a verbal response to the class outlining what fitness
component and skill performed.
Explanation of skill and what fitness component. Why? Where in their body did
they feel it the most?

CRITERIA
Ability to identify and perform fitness components using Hudl Technique
Ability to examine, explore, analyse and explain fitness components through
digital media

Working through the video recording process, each student will perform a fitness
component that is given to them using Hudl technique app
Ability to enhance knowledge on fitness components, by using a range of materials,
methods and media.

OPTIONAL
Adaptations/Differentiation
At this point the teacher checks each students progress and decides who
needs re-teaching, extension, and or independent practice. Beginning
practicum: reflection, Experienced practicum: in planning.
Re-teaching (Re-teaching is for students who need more teaching and practice.)
o

For students that have trouble with identifying or performing fitness

component/s I will have them refer to visual examples and teach them some
helpful techniques and skills. I can also do a demonstration of skills and
techniques.

Extension (Extension is for students who need more challenge.)

o

Students can move on to choosing their fitness components they want to

work on for their assessment

Independent Practice (This is for students who need more practice. It can be done
without teacher guidance, perhaps as homework.)

o
o
o

Students can research more fitness components used in sports that are
uncommon such as Curling - gain some knowledge and understanding of
different sports that we may have never heard of or knew of.
Students can refer to the Hudl Technique app and perform other fitness
components that they may not have had an opportunity to do during class
time
The teacher can do a video demonstration individually with the student; the
student can keep this example as a reference guide.
