CULTS

The rules contained within these pages replace those on pages 97 and 98 of Codex:
Chaos Space Marines and are designed to allow Chaos players greater freedom in
constructing Cult-based armies.
Certain units in the Chaos Space Marine army have the option of dedicating their units to a specific Cult.
Where this is the case, the following rules apply:
• Troops units that take this option are never scoring units unless the army has at least one HQ choice
(dead or alive) dedicated to the same Cult or with no Mark of Chaos.
• Unit Special Rules, Character and Transport options are all kept unless otherwise specified. Any
specific rules listed here are in addition to the unit's normal rules.
• Unit Wargear and Options are lost unless otherwise specified.

The following units can be dedicated to a Cult:

• Daemon Prince
• Chaos Lord
• Chaos Sorcerer
• Chosen Chaos Space Marines
• Chaos Terminators
• Possessed Chaos Space Marines (not the Cult of Tzeentch)
• Chaos Space Marines
• Chaos Bikers (not the Cult of Tzeentch or Nurgle)
• Chaos Havocs

How to dedicate a unit to a Cult:

Any unit from the list above must purchase an Icon for that god first. For example, a Chaos Space Marine
unit with the Icon of Khorne can be dedicated to the Cult of Khorne and thus become Khorne Berzerkers.
Likewise, a Chaos Terminator unit with the Icon of Tzeentch can be dedicated to the Cult of Tzeentch and
thus become Thousand Son Terminators. Note that units retain their Mark permanently, even if their Icon
bearer is killed.

HQ choices that purchase a Mark of Chaos may be dedicated to that Cult.
