CHILDRENS STORY:

GIDEON THE MIGHTY MAN OF VALOUR JUDGES 6:1-14

Long time ago, the children of Israel were suffering and living in fear because of their enemies
the Midianites. They were destroying their crops and no one could chase the Midianites away.
Then, one day God sent an angel to a young man named Gideon, Gideon was the youngest in
his family, he was hard working and was not afraid. The angel called him a mighty man of
valour and said to him that he should go in this his mighty and save the children of Israel. The
Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon and the children of Israel destroyed all their enemies.
Lessons:
1. Gideon had the spirit of might in him because God gave it to him. As a child of God, the
spirit of might is available for you. It is a gift from God to help you do great things.
2. God called Gideon to use his gift to deliver his people from the wicked people. So, as a
child of God, this gift of the spirit of mighty will make you very strong and will help you learn
at school, do your homework, help mummy and daddy at home and also play with your
friends.
