Com Part-I HRM Project Guidelines

Recruitment and performance appraisal practices are the significant and costly
investments by any organization which helps employers to identify essential
competencies and monitor the performance of employees. These processes make
bigger contribution in business development and improvement.
This project is focused on reviewing the recruitment and performance appraisal practices
followed by the organizations/employers. You are required to select any organization of your
choice and review these two practices adopted by that organization/employer. Research should
focus on the following
Recruitment strategies- number of times recruitment process takes place, identifying the
interview process, methods followed, agencies and media selected (if any).
Performance appraisal number of times performance appraisal conducted in a year, method
followed, employee appraisal by number of stakeholders (if any), how it impacts the pay
packages.
Research can be conducted using primary or secondary or both the sources and should include
the conclusions and comments on success/failure of the processes (recruitment and performance
appraisal) followed by the company and suggestions on improving the same.
Project is individual and hence the organisation selected by one student should not be repeated
by other/s. Students are therefore required to register with the name of the organization selected
for the project with the Prof-in-charge (Jasbir Kaur Sodi) in order to avoid the repetition of the
organization.
