1962-1966 Due to my passionate interest in promoting
education in Nigeria, I
used my initiative to secure free

Although I am not privileged to receive a formal education, as a self made
person I worked hard to acquire an education for myself.

POLITICAL PERSECUTION SUFFERED


Between 1953 to 1986 I was one of the most persecuted politicians in the
history of
Nigerian political activism, as I was subjected to many arrests
and detentions on eight
different occasions; 3 during colonial era, 3 in the
Fist Republic, and 2 during military regime; one each under the regime of
General Muhammadu Buhari and President
Ibrahim Badamasi
Babangida
