hange is a necessary and powerful agent. The plethora of advances in every sector has
come with its own set of challenges and opportunities and India with its large work
pool is primed to seize this opportunity. It then becomes imperative for the business
schools in the country to create the talent pool necessary to convert these opportunities into
tangible results. IIMs have always been at the forefront, creating world class Business leaders
capable of adapting and leveraging the change.
IIM Lucknow over the past three decades has strived to create knowledge base, influenced
management practices and promote a non-dogmatic learning as a way of life. The Institute
believes in creating leaders who not only can add business value but also social values in their
respective organizations. It is this stress on promoting the human value to learning that sets
IIM Lucknow apart from its peers.
To further this quest for excellence, we set up our NOIDA campus in 2007 and started our
flagship program - International Program in Management for Executives (IPMX). Through
the rigorous industry oriented curriculum and exposure to the latest management practices,
we equip our students with the right tools, skill-sets and global perspectives to excel in their
chosen fields
It is thus with a great sense of exuberance and pride that I wish to introduce our IPMX class of
2017. I am highly confident that the current batch with its already diverse and deep industry
knowledge will be able to exemplify the core IIM Lucknow values.

IM Lucknow has the unique distinction of being the only IIM to establish two
campuses in the country. The Noida Campus was envisioned to provide focused
executive education, with close linkages and deeper discourse with industry and
policy. The one year residential International Program in Management for Executives
– IPMX – was conceptualized as a post graduate program for enabling executives
with substantial experience and leadership potential, to undertake formal full time
management education as a mid-career initiative, and facilitate their successful
transition to senior, leadership roles in the corporate world.
Over the past many years, the IPMX has grown into one of the country’s most rigorous executive post graduate diploma
programs, where it helps provide a thorough grounding in the foundations of management, helps participants leverage
both the depth of their past learning and the diversity of colleagues’ experiences from across executive programs at this
executive oriented Campus, as well as within their own batch and IPMX alumni.The success of the alumni has reinforced
the view that the IPMX batches gain tremendous value from program, and prove to be invaluable corporate talent.
The current batch of the IPMX has shown evidence that it will rise to the rich heritage of excellence, success and
contribution that alumni of previous batches have demonstrated in their careers after this program. I am confident that

PMX (International Program of Management for Executives) is a rigorous one-year

or over three decades, IIM Lucknow
has been a torchbearer in providing
quality world-class executive
education. It possesses the unique
distinction of being the first and the
only IIM to have two separate campuses
dedicated to its flagship programs. The
sprawling Noida campus hosts the one-
year full-time residential IPMX as its
flagship program whereas the Lucknow
campus caters to the two-year PGP. Last year, the Noida campus added another feather to its crown
in the form of two-year full-time program PGP-SM (Sustainability Management) program. Operational
since 2007, the campus has been successful in establishing itself as a place of repute providing its
students with opportunities to not only learn and network but also to reforge and rejuvenate.
Both Noida and Lucknow campuses hold the privilege to share the same diverse and distinguished
faculty portfolio, with a rich and consistent mix of the best academicians and industry veterans. The
Intensive one-year program at Noida campus, through its focus on international program design
and delivery methodology, is consistently successful in preparing informed and progressive future

CURRICULUM
I
PMX has an exacting academic schedule of four terms with each term involving a number
of short projects on relevant business issues. The programme provides a firm grounding in
concepts of general management and offers students opportunities to specialise in their areas
of interest. The programme consists of:
ELECTIVE COURSES: Focuses on meeting the specific career goals of students. Provides deeper
understanding of the subjects and ability to think beyond the obvious.
COURSE OF INDEPENDENT STUDY: Provides opportunity for the student to explore a topic in
depth in an area of special interest under the supervision of a faculty. It is either an exploratory
type or a prescriptive type with a focus on its applicability to management situations.

T
he Leadership Talk Series (LTS) at IIM Lucknow is aimed at promoting intellectual
interaction between the students and the industry. The series provides a platform
for the future leaders to meet inspirational visionaries and learn from their rich and
