CANTUS
CODEX
RULES
A cantus is an old Belgian traditional night where students
come together to sing and drink. The important rule is
HAVING FUN! This does not happen in a random way,
everything is organized by a set of rules.
Where it all starts...
The evening starts when the "senior" enters the room. He
will be the chairman or the big boss for tonight.
The "senior" opens the evening with the words. "CANTUS
IN which is Latin for: the cantus has started. You are the
CORONA.
Verbum
Because a cantus is about tradition and respect, you
should always address the senior in a formal way. If you
want to say something you make a V above your head:
"PETO VERBUM". The senior decide if you can speak by
saying: "HABES" or refuses: "NON HABES ".
When you have to get up the senior says SURGITE and
you say SURGIMUS. The senior decides when you can
sit by saying: OMNES AD SEDES". You reply with
SEDIMUS.

Clementine
In a cavern, in a canyon,
Excavating for a mine, Dwelt a
miner, forty-niner, and his
daughter Clementine.
Oh my darling, Oh my darling,
Oh my darling Clementine !
Thou art lost and gone for
ever, Dreadful sorry,
Clementine.
Light she was and like a fairy,
And her shoes were number
nine; Herring boxes, without
topses, Sandals were for
Clementine.
Chorus
Drove she ducklings, to the
water Every morning, just at
nine;Hit her foot against a
splinter, Fell into the foaming
brine.
Chorus
Drunken sailor
1. What shall we do with the

the morning? Hooray and up
she rises, (3x) Early in the
morning.

Wonderwall (Oasis)
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it
back to you,
By now you should have
somehow realised what you
gotta do,
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you
now
Backbeat the word is on the
street That the fire in your
heart is out,
Mama Mia
I've been cheated by you since I
don't know when
So I made up my mind, it must come
to an end
Look at me now, will I ever learn?
I don't know how but I suddenly lose
control
There's a fire within my soul
Just one look and I can hear a bell
ring
One more look and I forget
everything, o-o-o-oh
Friends Theme

be this way
Your job's a joke
You're broke
Your lovelife's D.O.A.
