ORDER:
In the reference read above, the Commissioner, A.P. Vaidya Vidhana
Parishad, Hyderabad has furnished the proposal for upgradation of the
District Hospital, Mahabubnagar from 250 beds to 350 beds with an
estimated cost of Rs.1041.00 Lakhs [Recurring expenditure Rs.201.00 Lakhs
and Non-Recurring Expenditure Rs.840.00 Lakhs (Civil Works Rs.699.50
Lakhs + equipment Rs.140.50 Lakhs)] in the light of increased demand for
hospital services from the public in the area.

The Government, after careful examination of the matter in detail,
hereby accord administrative sanction for upgradation of the District
Hospital, Mahabubnagar from 250 beds to 350 beds with an estimated cost
of Rs.1041.00 Lakhs [Recurring expenditure Rs.201.00 Lakhs and NonRecurring Expenditure Rs.840.00 Lakhs (Civil Works Rs.699.50 Lakhs +
Equipment Rs.140.50 Lakhs)]. The approved breakup of above expenditure is
summarized below:

The Commissioner, A.P. Vaidya Vidhana Parishad, Hyderabad shall
take necessary measures to start the process to upgrade the District
Hospital, Mahabubnagar from 250 beds to 350 beds with immediate effect.
The Commissioner, A.P. Vaidya Vidhana Parishad shall prepare plans for the
Civil Works and essential equipment required for the District Hospital in
consultation with the Managing Director, A.P. Medical Services and
Infrastructure Development Corporation and ensure their implementation.
The Commissioner shall also ensure that additional staff are positioned at the
appropriate time based on the need duly following the rules and guidelines in
vogue in this regard.

The expenditure in this regard shall be met from the Budget Estimates
2012-13 (Plan) under the relevant Head of Account.

These orders are issued with the concurrence of Finance (Expr.M&H.I)
Department vide their U.O.No.34415/336/A1/Expr.M&H.I/2011,Dt:18.1.2012.
