Part I: 4 Class Periods (90 Minutes Each)-Hallway Drawing
Part II: 3 Class Periods (90 Minutes Each)-Surrealism Drawing
Part III: 3 Class Periods (90 Minutes Each)-Aurasma

Part I:
One Point Linear Perspective
Instructional Objective:
TSW understand and recognize artist from the Renaissance.
TSW create a drawing from direct observation using One Point Linear Perspective. (Hallway)

Part II:
Surrealism
Instructional Objective:
TSW understand, recognize, and apply Surrealism to their own works of art.
TSW create a portal to their Surreal World on their Hallway drawing.
TSW create an original drawing using the art movement of Surrealism for inspiration.
TSW create a drawing that depicts a foreground, middle ground, and background.
TSW create a drawing the uses the technique of shading with color pencils.
TEKS:
1.(A) illustrate ideas for artworks from direct observation, experiences, and imagination; and
1.(B) compare and contrast the use of art elements (color, texture, form, line, space, value) and art
principles (emphasis, pattern, rhythm, balance, proportion, unity) in personal artworks and those of
others, using vocabulary accurately.
2.(A) create visual solutions by elaborating on direct observation, experiences, and imagination;

sculpture.

Part III

Aurasma
The students will use the following technologies, software, and devices:

Adobe Photoshop-Graphic
Audacity
Smartphone/Tablet/Desktop-Voice Record/Movie Making
Google Drive
Aurasma App/Aurasma Studio

Instructional Objective:
TSW create a written description about their Surreal World project.
TSW create a graphic with credit line information.
TSW create a video/audio file of their description of their Surreal World project.
TSW use Aurasma to share their credit line and description with the school.
Instructional Activities:

Web Search for basic terms that will be used with Aurasma

Augmented reality: making something come to life


Aura: the magic thing that pops up when you hold your device over something
Trigger image: the picture you want to make cooler that is just normal (probably
something from your camera roll or in your photos)
Overlay: the thing you will apply on top of the trigger image (usually a video from
your camera roll)
Aurasma: a free app to make augmented reality

Demonstration and Practice using Aurasma

TEKS:
