The schoo! will be housed in a new, state-of-the-art, 86,000 sq. fl. dedicated research and ‘education building within the new Health Scioncas and Technology Innovation Park. The new school will develop outstanding leaders in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, who use contemporary medication management and innovative research in order to transform human health locally and globally. The research and clinically focused school will train the next generations of graduates to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered pharmaceutical care to diverse groups of patients, especially those who are in under-served rural and geriatric communities. Binghamton University's Doctor of Pharmacy program has been authorized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education for an on-site evaluation during fall 2016 for consideration of Precandidate status. The candidate should demonstrate statistical and/or methodological expertise in the use of health care data such as claims, registries, or EMR/EHR data, Examples of focused areas of research include, but are not limited to: health outcomes, health care informatics, health policy, patient safety, managed health care, or comparative effectiveness.
