KLASIFIKASI MAKHLUK HIDUP DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH

PERTAMA NEGERI 40 TERBUKA PALEMBANG

ABSTRACT
This research aims to produce module of scientific approach in natural
sciences(IPA) education for classification of living things in the Junior High
School (SMP) open Negeri 40 Palembang that was valid, practical andpotential
efect on learning. The research method is the development research. The
procedure of research uses the developing model of Hannafin and Peck that
consists of three phases, they are need assess, design, development and
implementation. In the phase of development and implementation, using Tessmer
formative evaluation that consists of four stages, namely: expert review, one-toone evaluation, small group evaluation and field test. The subjects were the
seventh grade students of SMP N 40 Open Palembang. The research is valid if
expert review said that student module which was developed is appropriate to be
tried out. Then it was tried out in the one-to-one evaluation phase and small
group to see practicallity of student module. In the small group step, the result of
students questionnaire is 85,96% with the category practice. The result of the test
in the field test showed N-gain score 0.81 with high category. Based on the result
of the research, it can be concluded that the students module developed by the
researcher was valid, practical and has a potential effecton students
achievements. The suggestions for the students, teachers and school are this
student module can be used in IPA learning as well and for the other researcher,
this student module can be as reference in developing in the same research

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul berbasis saintifik pada mata
pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup di Sekolah
Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 40 terbuka Palembang yang valid, praktis, dan
efek potensial terhadap hasil belajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah
penelitian pengembangan. Prosedur penelitian menggunakan model
pengembangan Hannafin dan Peck yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu: analisis
kebutuhan, desain, pengembangan dan implementasi. Pada tahap pengembangan
dan implementasi, dilakukan evaluasi formatif dengan menggunakan model
evaluasi formatif Tessmer yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: expert review, oneto-one evaluation, small group, dan field test. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta
didik kelas VII SMP N 40 terbuka Palembang. Penelitian ini dikatakan valid bila
expert review menyatakan modul yang dikembangkan layak untuk di ujicoba,
Kemudian di ujicobakan pada tahap one-to-one evaluation dan small group untuk
melihat kepraktisan modul. Pada tahap small group, hasil angket peserta didik
terhadap modul sebesar 85,96% dengan kategori praktis. Hasil field test
menunjukkan N-gain yang diperoleh 0,81 yang dikategorikan tinggi. Berdasarkan
hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan terbukti
valid, praktis dan mempunyai efek potensial terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik.
Saran bagi peserta didik, guru dan sekolah agar modul ini dapat dimanfaatkan
dalam pembelajaran IPA dengan sebaiknya, serta bagi peneliti lain modul ini dapat
dijadikan acuan dalam mengembangkan penelitian yang serupa.
