Whether or not they have availed of the support services:
Yes. The support services are coursed thru the COOP to the ARBs. They are the ff:
1. Farm Machineries
a. Threshers
b. Tractors
2. Farm-to-market-roads / Junction Roads
3. Micro lending (was not sustained after Yolanda hit)
4. APCP
5. Credit Financing w/ Land Bank and DAR
6. Patanom financed thru Land Bank (Farmer beneficiaries borrow to fund their
farm activities)
7. Trainings by DAR
a. Meat processing
b. Making of Organic Fertilizers
NOTE: A response we got from one farmer beneficiary was that individual
training as compared to group training was more feasible/successful.
What are the problems that the ARBs encountered? :
Mortgaging the lands awarded for quick cash. However, not all of those who
mortgaged their lands were unsuccessful. There was one who was able to send her
and let her children finish college. Thereafter, her children helped here to buy back
the land/pay the loan. There were 10 ARBs who mortgaged their lands.
There were also some who waived their rights for the simple reason that they had
no monetary resources to cultivate the land awarded.

Some also chose to remain in the retained land of the LO despite repeated
reminders/warnings that they would remain as a tenant of the land and will forfeit
being a farmer beneficiary under the CARP.
