17. A pentagonal pyramid with edge of base 40mm and axis 70mm long, is resting on its
base on HP. One of the base edges of the pyramid is perpendicular to VP. A section plane
perpendicular to VP and inclined to HP at 300, passes through the axis, at a height of
30mm from the base. Draw the isometric projection of the truncated pyramid. (JAN 13)
18. A rectangular lamina of size 30x50mm rests on the ground with one edge on PP and the
remaining portion behind PP. The station point is 60mm above GP and 30mm in front of
PP and lie on a central plane 35mm to the left of the nearest edge of the lamina. Draw the
perspective view of the lamina. (JAN 13)
19. A cube of 30mm edges is lying on one of its face on the ground plane with a vertical edge
touching the picture plane for the perspective view (PP) and all the faces equally inclined

at 450 to the PP. The station point is 70mm above the ground plane and 50mm in front of
the PP. the central plane is 10mm to the left of the centre of the cube. Draw the
perspective projection of the cube. ( NOV/DEC 15)
20. A sphere of radius 50mm kept centrally over a frustum of square pyramid of side 120mm
at the bottom and 80mm at the top and height 100mm. Draw the isometric view of the
assembly. (JAN 14)
21. A square pyramid of base edge 20mm and altitude 40mm rests on its base on the ground
with a base edge parallel to the picture plane. The axis of the pyramid is 25mm behind
the PP and 25mm to the right of the eye. The eye is 50mm in front of the PP and 50mm
above the ground. Draw the perspective view of the pyramid. (JAN 14)
22. A pentagonal pyramid of 40mm edge of base and 70mm height rests with its base on HP.
One of the base edges is perpendicular to VP and lies on the left of the axis of the
pyramid. A section plane perpendicular to VP and inclined at 300 to HP cuts the axis of
the pyramid at a point 30mm above the base of the pyramid. Draw the isometric view of
the truncated pyramid. (MAY/JUN 14)
23. A hollow cylinder of external diameter 60mm internal diameter 40mm and axis 80mm
long lies with its generator on ground with one of its circular ends touching the picture
plane. The station point is 90mm in front of the picture plane and 60mm to the right of
the axis of the cylinder. The horizon is 100mm above ground. Draw the perspective view
of the cylinder. (MAY/JUN 14)
