You can always, well a majority of the time, when a student truly
understand the material by how much they are involved during an
assignment. The more involved a students is within a lesson, the greater
chance of them actually remembering the material in the end.

Not everyone has the ability to grasp material quickly. This can actually
be very intimidating to some students and cause them to not want to
participate because of the insecurities created. Creating an environment
where it is okay to be wrong as long as you keep trying is needed in
every classroom. A mutual respect mindset can benefit those who are
confident of their answers as well as those who aren't.
Connections
This website article is very informative about the Five Types of Authentic Instruction. This actually just reminds me of many classroom discussions about how
important it is the not give busy work, making the assignments meaningful, and enforcing mutual respect because class is just a learning environment. The
reading about the importance of Essential Questions is very similar to this reading. What is the point of teaching material if there isnt a deeper meaning or
importance to it? Students are very smart and allowing them to grow and research because of EQs will only help them. This type of teaching and instructions
are types of mindsets that they can take with them throughout life.
