3 Movie Ideas
1. Working Title: Oath of The Horatii (based off the legend of the Horatii by the Roman
historian Livy)
Young Cato of the Horatii and his warrior brothers Caius and Lucius live happily
during a time of peace for the Roman Republic until an emissary of the senate calls upon
them to fight to settle a dispute between Rome and a nearby city. Elder brother Lucius is
hesitant to accept the offer due to Caius missing an arm from previous battle and Catos
inexperience with combat, but accepts after pressure from their father to uphold the honor
of their clan. Along the way Cato hastily completes his training under Lucius and Caius
recounts the horrors of war. In the final duel both Lucius and Caius fall in the fighting,
and only Cato leaves alive. He returns home a soldier of Rome, and a hero, and vows to
never raise his blade again. Like: Gladiator meets Lawless.
2. NSA Agent Movie
Passionate NSA worker Levi Knight spends his days invading the privacy of
American citizens. Over time he slowly becomes obsessed with Sarah Goldsmith,
girlfriend of a radical political activist Levi has been tasked with keeping tabs on.
Meanwhile he spies on the family of Abdullah Ghaalib whom he suspects of having
terrorist affiliations. Levi establishes a friendship with Sarah, and uses his NSA
connections to intimidate her boyfriend to leave the country. Levi takes ownership of a

gun that Sarahs boyfriend left behind. Later Levi informs his boss of his suspicions
about the terrorist cell, and his boss rejects it as pure conjecture and refuses to act on it.
Levi reminds his boss that the last time this happened, the people Levi was spying on
lead an attack on U.S. soil. Levi and Sarahs relationship develops, and Levi decides to
come clean with her. He says that he knows everything about her and still loves her, and
thats what true love is. She just thinks he is a creep and leaves him. Spurned by Sarah
and fed up with a perceived impotence of his government he goes to Abdullahs house to
find evidence of terrorist activity. There he finds nothing, and questions the family at
gunpoint. Theyre innocent, but he refuses to believe them so he shoots Abdullahs wife
and struggles with Abdullah over the gun. Levi gets shot, but kills Abdullah and passes
out. He awakes in a hospital where his boss informs him that they have had to do cover
up the story for PR reasons and have told the public that Abdullah was a terrorist, and
Levi will be awarded a medal for his bravery. As Levis boss leaves the room Levi
turns on the TV and looks on in anger as he watches a news report about the war on
terror. Like: The Conversation meets Taxi Driver. (Sorry the description is so long
winded. I feel like not explaining the plot enough could lead to the interpretation that I
am celebrating the heinous acts of this twisted character.)
3. Everyone thinks hes an asshole because he lives his life like hes in a Woody Allen
Movie
Through his sharp wit and good work as a writers assistant Jake has secured
himself the token young guy position as part of a writing staff for a moderately
successful inoffensive off-network sitcom currently off season. When he hears about the
unexpected passing of a high school friendly acquaintance, he decides to spend a week

back home; just in time for his high school reunion. Over the course of the week Jake
reconnects with friends, family, and past romances, and learns that most of the people he
went to school with think hes an asshole. Riddled with self-doubt and reappraising his
personality he attempts to make it up to all of the people he feels hes left down.
Like: Manhattan meets The Last Picture Show meets Grosse Point Blank.

Note: All names are subject to change (even gender could change for the third idea), I am
not attached to any of them, and I do not have a favorite among the three ideas.
