Clarification of Interdependence
Proclamation of Self-determination & Sovereignty

The undisputable clarification of the Nu City States of Atlan, When in the realm of divine events, it becomes
necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with one another in
oppression, as despotism attempts to assume the powers of the earth, to which the Laws of Nature and the
Creator is entitled. A decent respect to the facts of disharmonious nature requires that they clarify the causes
which impels us to this separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, and accept as fact, that all men are created equal, that they are
endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights, which these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
For to secure these natural rights, Governments are instituted among men, women, and children, deriving their
just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of
these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its
foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect
their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be
changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more
disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to correct themselves by abolishing the forms to which they
are accustomed. But when a long habit of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object devices
which are to be redesigned to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is a natural right, it everyones duty, to
reform such a Government, and to provide new guards, officers, agents, and representatives, officers, agents,
and representatives for their future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of these indigenous
communities, nations, and empire; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former
systems of Government. The history of the past Kings of Great Britain, other empires and now present day
Congress for the United States of America is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having a
direct objective for the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these states, and land masses. To prove this,
the facts have been submitted, disclosed, and notified to a candid world.

We accept as fact our assent to Laws, is the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

Whereas millions of Africans and descendants were enslaved in the United States and the 13 American colonies from
1619 through 1865.
Whereas slavery in America resembled no other form of involuntary servitude known in history, as Africans were captured
and sold at auction like inanimate objects or animals.
Whereas Africans forced into slavery were brutalized, humiliated, dehumanized, and subjected to the indignity of being
stripped of their names and heritage.
Whereas enslaved families were torn apart after having been sold separately from one another.
Whereas the system of slavery and the visceral racism against persons of African descent upon which it depended became
entrenched in the Nations social fabric.
Whereas slavery was not officially abolished until the passage of the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution
in 1865 after the end of the Civil War.
Whereas after emancipation from 246 years or more of slavery, African-Americans soon saw the fleeting political, social,
and economic gains they made during Reconstruction eviscerated by virulent racism, lynchings, disenfranchisement, Black
Codes, and racial segregation laws that imposed a rigid system of officially sanctioned racial segregation in virtually all areas
of life.
Whereas the system of de jure racial segregation known as Jim Crow, which arose in certain parts of the Nation following
the Civil War to create separate and unequal societies for whites and African-Americans, was a direct result of the racism
against persons of African descent engendered by slavery.
Whereas a century after the official end of slavery in America, Federal action was required during the 1960s to eliminate
the dejure and defacto system of Jim Crow throughout parts of the Nation, though its vestiges still linger to this day.
Whereas African-Americans continue to suffer from the complex interplay between slavery and Jim Crowlong after both
systems were formally abolishedthrough enormous damage and loss, both tangible and intangible, including the loss of
human dignity, the frustration of careers and professional lives, and the long-term loss of income and opportunity.
Whereas the story of the enslavement and de jure segregation of African-Americans and the dehumanizing atrocities
committed against them should not be purged from or minimized in the telling of American history.
Whereas on July 8, 2003, during a trip to Goree Island, Senegal, a former slave port, President George W. Bush
acknowledged slaverys continuing legacy in American life and the need to confront that legacy when he stated that slavery
was, one of the greatest crimes of history. The racial bigotry fed by slavery did not end with slavery or with segregation.
And many of the issues that still trouble America have roots in the bitter experience of other times. But however long the
journey, our destiny is set: liberty and justice for all.
Whereas President Bill Clinton also acknowledged the deep-seated problems caused by the continuing legacy of racism
against African-Americans that began with slavery when he initiated a national dialogue about race.
Whereas a genuine apology is an important and necessary first step in the process of racial reconciliation.
Whereas an apology for centuries of brutal dehumanization and injustices cannot erase the past, but confession of the
wrongs committed can speed racial healing and reconciliation and help Americans confront the ghosts of their past.
Whereas the legislature of the Commonwealth of Virginia has recently taken the lead in adopting a resolution officially
expressing appropriate remorse for slavery and other State legislatures have adopted or are considering similar resolutions.

Whereas it is important for this country, which legally recognized slavery through its Constitution and its laws, to make a
formal apology for slavery and for its successor, Jim Crow, so that it can move forward and seek reconciliation, justice, and
harmony for all of its citizens: Now, therefore, be it In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in
the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is
thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people. House Resolution 194

We have not been warranting in attentions of our American brethren. We have warned them from time to time of
attempts by their legislature to release an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the
circumstances of our indigenousness, and as well as emigration and settlement here in Amexem, Turtle Island,
Land of the Frogs now called America. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have
conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt
our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity.
We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which proclaim our separation, and hold them, as we hold the
rest of mankind, enemies in war, and in peace friends.
We, therefore, the representatives of the Noone Society by way of The Nu Unified City-States of Atlan, in General
Progress Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name,
and by Authority of the good People of these Communities, City-States, and Kingdom Countries, solemnly publish and
clarify, That these Unified City-States are, and of right to be Free and Interdependent City-States; that they are
Absolved from all Allegiance to the Crown of Any Peoples, and that all political, social, and civil connection between them
and the Holy See and all its jurisdictions, is to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Interdependent City-States, that
have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things
which Sovereign City-States have liberty and right to do. And for the support of this clarification, with a firm reliance on
the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
