Grades (MPG)
*Running Records are administered ongoing throughout the school year. Student levels are reported at trimester based on the
instructional reading level for fiction at that time (December, March, June). Teachers are encouraged to assess 5-7 students per
week using running records as a tool to note strengths in reading behavior, inform next steps for instruction and to set reading
goals with students. Please work with your instructional coach to establish an effective and efficient running record system in
your classroom.
