~A sketchbook can be used to honor and develop your own creativity. Keeping a
visual diary is a chance to see your thoughts on paper, and to reflect back on them
over time. A sketchbook is a personal creative resource as well as a place to
practice drawing skills for this class. I want this book to become something that has
meaning for you~
Today you can browse through the travel sketchbooks of famous artists like William
Turner sitting comfortably at your desk at home. Also, thousands of contemporary
sketchbooks of living artists and amateurs are spread out on the internet. Keeping
and publishing a sketchbook gets more and more popular. A perfect example is the
emergence of the Urban Sketchers a Meta-Blog of sketchers all over the world.
