New-generation of waterproofing
METHOD FOR LAYING
is laid dry on both wooden and cement supports.
Laying is easy and fast: simply overlap the sheets by at least 5 cm using the apposite joining tabs, and finally fix them
using the two-way butyl sealant, supplied as an accessory.
Waterproofing foundation:
A.
Position the sheets directly onto the foundation
B.
Lay the electrowelded net
C.
Apply the finishing cement layer

INTRODUCTION
The history and development of buildings is directly related to mans need to protect himself from water.
Water penetration can be caused directly by rainwater or conversely by water permeating through the soil from the
groundwater table. Since ancient times, man has tried to remedy this problem, for example by using clay and lime, or
coal tar pitch as a sealant between structural stone elements. With the onset of the industrial era, great evolution has
taken place, both in building methods as well as materials technology. Progress has been relentless and increasingly
fast, pushed by research and industrial production. In the long run, buildings designed with insufficient waterproofing
systems, especially in respect of roofs and foundations, may experience serious problems in terms of stability.
The Freudenberg Politex Group has developed the ideal product to permanently solve the problem of infiltrations for
pitched roofs, green roofs, underground garages, foundations, and where surfaces have been converted into a
garden, terrace or balcony.
is a material produced using a reinforced polyester nonwoven that combines full waterproofing
integrity, together with important characteristics such as material stability and resistance, through the polyolefinic film
integrated within the two nonwoven layers.

UNDERGROUND GARAGES AND FLAT ROOFS
The need to optimize living spaces has led to a sharp increase in the design and construction of areas below the land
surface together with the need to restore the surface, possibly with green.
In parallel, modern building techniques have been moving towards more innovative solutions for the construction of
buildings with flat roofs, in order to make the roofing space fully enjoyable, possibly for use as a garden or sunroof.
The most common problems associated with such structures have traditionally been the infiltration and the draining of
rainwater.
In both respects
is a valid alternative to traditional waterproofing methods.
Applied directly onto the flat roofing, it guarantees excellent waterproofing protection and adjusts easily to any surface.

can be laid directly on to an untreated surface as part of the foundation, in preparation for the new floor.
In the case of renovation,
can be laid directly onto the old flooring prior to the application of a suitable
adhesive for the new tiles, thus avoiding expensive time and resource to remove the old flooring system.

Warning
To obtain the best results in joining
, the laying surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil and grease.
Lay the nonwoven onto the surface, apply the sealant, remove the paper from the back of the sealing strip and bring the
other surface in contact.

Rolls of butyl
sealant must be stored in a horizontal position and in their original packaging. They must be kept away from
sunlight, in a cool dry place, temperature range between 5 and 25C.
Under these conditions, the product can be stored for up to a maximum of two years.
