Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), a deemed to be university u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, popularly

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The two year(six trimesters), full-time, Master of Business Administration(MBA) program follows a rigorous, relevant,
contemporary and dynamic curriculum. It is designed, developed and delivered to ensure high quality education and is
taught by accomplished full-time and distinguished visiting faculty.
The Program consists of general management subjects, core subjects and specialization subjects that reflect the
students chosen area of dual specialization, which includes Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, Operations and
Systems. Students are encouraged to choose specializations that suitably match with their interests and skill sets.
The industry based one month project work at the end of first year and 10-weeks Internship in the VI Trimester prepares
the student to move from academics to industry with confidence. After successful completion of the program, the

The two year(six trimesters), full-time, Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management program
follows a rigorous, relevant, contemporary and dynamic curriculum. It is designed, developed and delivered to
inculcate the knowledge, skills and attitude required for the HR professional. It offers a balance between theory and
practice and emphasizes on students personal and professional development.
The Program consists of general management subjects, core subjects and specialization subjects. The industrybased one month project work at the end of first year, practice school in the V trimester and 10-weeks Internship in
the VI Trimester prepares the student to move from academics to industry with confidence.

A professional qualification in MA (Applied


Psychology) helps an individual tremendously in

GITAM KNOWLEDGE RESOURCE CENTRE
The Central Library has a collection of over one lakh fifty
thousand Volumes in Management, Science, Technology,
Pharmacy and Law. The Digital Library provides online
access to national and international periodicals, databases
and online journals with broadband facility of 1 Gbps. Campus
Wi-Fi connectivity is also available
INSTITUTION LIBRARY
Besides GITAM KRC, the Institute also has a rich collection
of management books, journals and self learning books
located at Management Information Centre
AUDITORIUM / SEMINAR / CONFERENCE HALL
GITAM maintains well equipped centrally air-conditioned
conference halls with seating capacity of 200, 500 and 750.
Balayogi Kalapranganam, an open air auditorium, with a
seating capacity of 1500 provides the right aesthetic
environment to organise cultural events.
OTHER FACILITIES
The campus is having captive facilities for Banking, Travel
Desk, Shopping, Post Office, Food Courts and
Telecommunications.
COMPUTER / IT FACILITIES
The Institute has a computer lab with 204 desktops with
internet connectivity and 60 workstations at the HSBC English
Language Learning Centre.

HOSTELS
The GITAM University has on-campus hostels namely
Kokila Sadan for girls, Saddharma Sadan and Santhi Sadan
for boys.
MEDICAL SERVICES
A General Hospital with state-of-the-art infrastructure
facilities manned by experienced and qualified staff is
made available on 24x7 to attend to medical emergencies.
Students and Staff also have free access to dental hospital
located in the campus to get their dental problems treated.
The GITAM General hospital is endowed with specialties
such as General Medicine, General Surgery, Gynecology
& Obstetrics, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, ENT,
Ophthalmology, Dermatology, ETC.
SPORTS FACILITIES
The Kodi Rama Murthy Indoor Stadium with well equipped
Gymnasium of International standards is available for
students in addition to spacious play grounds for various
athletic events and games. Also the campus has synthetic
and clay floodlit tennis courts of international standards.
YOGA AND MEDITATION
Healthy mind demands healthy body. Todays competitive
environment generates stress and to cope with this stress
students need to develop mind control which is possible
through meditation. To train the students in this line, the
institute organizes Yoga & Meditation classes in the first
trimester.

Students at GIM have a great opportunity to get international exposure


through twinning(1+1) and Semester Study Abroad options at highly
accredited public universities in USA - Central Michigan University and
University of Nebraska, Omaha. All the eligible students would be paying
only the instate course fee through scholarship. The students of twinning
program will get MBA/MSIS from the respective American University.

joint certificate programme for MBAs on Retail Banking.

SOFT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT


In order to meet the corporate requirements, GIM has
introduced Soft Skill training program for all the students
with trainers from reputed training agencies in the country.
Each student takes a comprehensive Psychometric and
English Proficiency test to know the present skill sets.
Thereafter career guidance is offered by a psychologist.
Based on the feed-back from the test, a detailed training
module is designed by the counselors.

CURRENT BUSINESS AFFAIRS


GIM believes that all management students should know
about the eco-system in which they operate. Hence this
course was introduced while providing personal copy of
Business World , Economic Times and Mint for all the
students. The students are expected to go through these
regularly.

BUSINESS ENGLISH CERTIFICATE (BEC)


from Cambridge University, UK
GIM is the first college in AP, to have entered into MoU with
the British Council to deliver industry sought Business
English Certificate program of Cambridge University. After
the diagnostic test, training is offered to students in BEC
modules. At the end of the training and pass in the
examination the students receive certificate from Cambridge
University in either BEC Preliminary, Vantage or Higher.
GURUKOOL
Gurukool is a Three and half day OUTBOUND Training
program designed for synchronizing the mind, body & soul
for overall development of the self. It is developed to cover a
wide range of topics from as basic as grooming & etiquette
to complex modules of team work & leadership.

BUSINESS SIMULATION
The students of GIM compete in the CAPSTONE Business
Simulation as part of their curriculum. The simulation
will help students to make their decisions on a number
of issues while running the company they represent. This
is highly productive in preparing students for competitive
world. Also this will equip the students to improve team
working skills, decision making and leadership qualities
while applying business knowledge they have learnt.
STOCK MARKET SIMULATOR
A virtual stock market simulation is offered to the students
of GIM with license from ICICI DIRECT with live stock
market updates so that a player may practice trading
stocks without financial risk.
