Question 1: What is meant by rescheduling and restructuring PTPTN loans?

Answer:
Scheduling: Enables you (borrower) to reschedule Jadual Bayaran Balik (JBB) in settling the
debt in accordance with the set repayment period/duration.
Restructuring: Enables you (borrower) to change the JBB structure and fix monthly
installments based on the ability of the borrower. Through this method, the payback period can
be extended until the borrower reaches the age of 60 years.

Question 2: What are the conditions & guidelines that entitles you (borrower) to apply for loan
rescheduling / restructuring?
Answer: The conditions & guidelines are as in the table below:

Question 3: What Is defined by kos pelbagai (Assorted Cost?)?

Answer: Kos pelbagai is the kos tindakan (action/enforcement cost?) imposed on the penerima
biaya (cost recipient?) such as:

kos pengeluaran Notis Peringatan Terakhir, -- Production Cost? Final Warning Notice
Notis Tuntutan (NOD) Claim Notice?
kos saman yang dibayar kepada panel peguam.- Law Panel(?) Summons Cost

Question 4: Do the yuran pemprosesan, kos pelbagai, hutang takaful dan hutang duti setem pada
pinjaman Ujrah (processing fee, cost range, takaful debt and Ujrah loan duty stamp) need to be

resolved before the restructuring process application?


Answer:
In addition to yuran pemprosesan, kos pelbagai, hutang takaful dan hutang duti setem,
with effect from July 1, 2015,
borrowers (you) should clear at least 50% of the total outstanding amount before the Surat
Tawaran Penstructuran Semula (Restructuring Offer Letter) is released.
In other words, the Letter of Offer Restructuring will only be issued after:

the biaya (recepient?) agrees to the restructuring terms, and


pays:
o yuran pemprosesan (pays the processing fee)
o at least 50% of the total tunggakan (outstanding amount)
o kos pelbagai (if available)
o takaful debt
o stamp duty (if available).

Application
Question 5: Can the rescheduling / restructuring application be made through mail/fax and
processed without the borrower presence at the PTPTN counter?

Answer: No. Borrowers who want to apply for rescheduling / restructuring are required to
appear in person to any PTPTN counters at anytime, EXCEPT between the 27th day of the
current month until the 5th day of the following month.
It is to ease consultation, explanation, and dokumen tawaran (offer document?)
reception/acceptance affairs.

Question 6: Can the borrower can submit the:

surat tawaran agreement of restructuring /


surat makluman kelulusan (approval notification letter?) of rescheduling information

to any nearest PTPTN counter?


Answer: Yes. Borrowers can send documents that have been complete agreement in any of
the nearest PTPTN branch.

Question 7: Is there a limit period for reapplication if rescheduling / restructuring approval were
rejected prior?
Answer: No limitation period. The borrower may reapply at any time, EXCEPT between the
27th day of the current month until the 5th day of the following month.

Question 8: Are borrowers with expired repayment duration eligible to receive the
rescheduling / restructuring service?
Answer: For the loan repayment, the borrower cannot be eligible for rescheduling. However,
the receiver can be considered for the restructuring.

Question 9: How long is the validity period of the restructuring / rescheduling offer document?
Answer: The validity of the restructuring / rescheduling offer document is within 14 days or in
the same month as the approval date of; mana-mana yang terdahulu (any of the foregoing?).

Question 10: I have received the rescheduling offer document approval on December 26, 2015.
Can I send that document in January?
Answer: No. The offer document must be returned to PTPTN in the same month of the
approval.
Yes. That loan will be rejected. Borrowers have to re-apply if still interested in acquiring the
facility.

Question 11: Can an approved rescheduling / restructuring offer be used by the borrower for
Akaun II KWSP (EPF Account II?) withdrawal?
Answer: Yes.
However, the conditions Akaun II KWSP release refers to the original agreement date.

Terms & Conditions of Akaun II KWSP release are as follows:

Withdrawal from borrowers Akaun II (borrower being member):


o Perjanjian Pinjaman Pendidikan (Study Loan Agreement) signed on or after
January 2, 2001 (for courses of Diploma level and above).

Withdrawal from borrowers parent s Akaun II (parent being member):

Agreement student loans signed on or after 1 April 2000 (for courses of

Degree level).
Agreement signed student loan on or after January 17, 2006 (for courses of
Diploma).
