Job Overview
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control,
integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility.
Responsibilities
Possesses the interpersonal skills to build relationships with key customer contacts
responsible for the decision making process. Actively listens, probes and identifies
concerns. Understands customer's business and speaks their language. Develops
credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
Ability to manage customers and keep them candid throughout the relationship.
Participate in cross functional development teams within the company to develop and
communicate program deliverables, priorities ,and timeline targets based on customer
derived expectations and internal requirements.
Ability to understand, track, drill-down, and question activities and issues in all
functional areas and make sound business decisions based upon that data.
Plans and implements engineering program, including defining the project philosophy,
activities, milestones, and staff requirements, per customer requirements.
Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.
Assigns and oversee project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as
technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and
product testing.
Prepares interim and completion project reports for management, client, or others.
Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs
are met.
Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.
Qualifications
Must possess moderately advanced usage of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, &
PowerPoint); must be/become proficient in company & customer systems.
Three to five years of experience in automotive manufacturing and /or engineering and
sales driven businesses

Mechanical Project Engineer / Technologist Responsibilities
This position also requires ability to interface effectively, internally and with
customers.
Design and develop complex models or simulations and apply advanced computer
programs, analytical techniques or control strategies to effectively meet requirements
and resolve problems
Represent the group in meetings and conferences; interact with customers to resolve
significant technical issues and develop related action plans
Less than 30% Domestic Travel, as well as some potentially to Canada, and South
America

Provides overall management direction for a project or group of projects. Performs project
management by processing project documents and information, procuring equipment and
subcontracts, monitoring and accurately projecting job costs, maintain billing and schedules
and providing technical support and leadership to the field.
Provide oversight with the project superintendent on the day-to-day activities of assigned
projects.
Develops and maintains long term customer relationships to foster better communications
and develop future work.
Works independently, and with operations manager, but follows specific guidelines and
policies.
Makes independent and significant judgments related to project and contractual issues.
Responsible for mentoring and training project foremen/trainees and project coordinators to
ensure that they are given the opportunity to achieve career goals.
Perform ancillary duties as required.

We are looking for an HVAC Project Manager to join our team! The primary function of the
HVAC Project Manager is to plan, execute, and maintain an effective field construction
organization utilizing the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools,
subcontracted services, and other company resources to effectively perform the scope of
contracted work within an allotted budge and time schedule.
Responsibilities
Develop and track a project schedule including trade manpower loading for the project
Establish project cost control centers for tracking of equipment, material, labor,
subcontracts and miscellaneous cost
Direct trade planners in the development of shop drawings and coordinate the
planning efforts with other trades
Inspect the jobsite on a regular basis for contract compliance, workmanship, and
safety
Follow-up on any required warranty work and maintain contact with owner to insure
customer satisfaction
Qualifications
5-10 years experience in commercial HVAC mechanical piping, plumbing and sheet
metal
