Job Overview
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control,
integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility.
Responsibilities

Primary point of communication interface to the customer for the respective


program(s) within the unit as well as all the deliverables that are in the program they
will manage.

Possesses the interpersonal skills to build relationships with key customer contacts
responsible for the decision making process. Actively listens, probes and identifies
concerns. Understands customer's business and speaks their language. Develops
credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.

Ability to manage customers and keep them candid throughout the relationship.

Preparation and communication of program status meetings to management steering


committee and escalation of critical issues.

Coordinating / monitoring project documentation, timelines, technical performance,


production, quality deliverables, and corrective action initiatives throughout product
launch(s).

Manages tooling orders and samples for customers.

Participate in cross functional development teams within the company to develop and
communicate program deliverables, priorities ,and timeline targets based on customer
derived expectations and internal requirements.

Ability to understand, track, drill-down, and question activities and issues in all
functional areas and make sound business decisions based upon that data.

Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership and assertiveness skills.

Strong presentation skills.

Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.

Plans and implements engineering program, including defining the project philosophy,
activities, milestones, and staff requirements, per customer requirements.

Develops and maintains a schedule for the assigned engineering project.

Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.

Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.

Identifies project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting


organization managers.

Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and


bid packages.

Assigns and oversee project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as
technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and
product testing.

Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company


standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.

Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and


resolving engineering design and test problems.

Directs integration of technical activities and products.

Prepares interim and completion project reports for management, client, or others.

Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs
are met.

Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Mechanical Engineering or another Technical /


Engineering Degree

Strong technical background that may include knowledge of body in white


development and/or manufacturing (such as part development, forming, and joining),
and a good understanding of cross-functional responsibilities.

Must possess moderately advanced usage of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, &
PowerPoint); must be/become proficient in company & customer systems.

Preferred Education And Experience

A masters degree in related field

Three to five years of experience in automotive manufacturing and /or engineering and
sales driven businesses

Experience working in a Germany based (international) organization

Mechanical Project Engineer / Technologist Responsibilities

The Mechanical Project Engineer requires thorough knowledge of a specific


engineering discipline plus an understanding of related disciplines to coordinate
activities, analyze and resolve problems crossing disciplines and to develop new
concepts for programs. One will provide technical input, recommendations and
decisions may impact the organization's effectiveness and customer relations

This position also requires ability to interface effectively, internally and with
customers.

Strong knowledge of assembly equipment, specifically in Engines, Axles and


Transmission

Design, analyze, and evaluate systems, products or components, requiring a high


degree of technical expertise

Design and develop complex models or simulations and apply advanced computer
programs, analytical techniques or control strategies to effectively meet requirements
and resolve problems

Act as principal investigator or lead a group of engineers investigating problems,


developing solutions and preparing related recommendations and reports.

Conduct economic studies and prepare or lead the preparation of specifications,


proposals for contracts, licensing and safety documents, and obtain required approvals.

Represent the group in meetings and conferences; interact with customers to resolve
significant technical issues and develop related action plans

Less than 30% Domestic Travel, as well as some potentially to Canada, and South
America

Mechanical Project Engineer / Technologist Requirements

High School Diploma or GED AND 9 years of experience in design, engineering, or


project management

Associate's Degree AND 7 years of experience in design, engineering, or project


management

Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of experience in design, engineering, or project


management

Preferred Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in engineering

5+ years of experience in design, engineering, or project management in engine, axel,


and transmission assembly

Strong knowledge and/or experience in engine, axel, and transmission assembly

Experience reading and interpreting drawings / blueprints

SAP Experience

AutoCad, SolidWorks or 3D drafting software a plus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

We are looking for an HVAC Project Manager to join our team! The primary function of the
HVAC Project Manager is to plan, execute, and maintain an effective field construction
organization utilizing the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools,
subcontracted services, and other company resources to effectively perform the scope of
contracted work within an allotted budge and time schedule.
Responsibilities

Develop and track a project schedule including trade manpower loading for the project

Establish project cost control centers for tracking of equipment, material, labor,
subcontracts and miscellaneous cost

Direct trade planners in the development of shop drawings and coordinate the
planning efforts with other trades

Develop the piping trade construction standards for the project

Procure and manage project subcontractors and equipment vendors

Inspect the jobsite on a regular basis for contract compliance, workmanship, and
safety

Follow-up on any required warranty work and maintain contact with owner to insure
customer satisfaction

Manage large jobs with minimal supervision

Qualifications

Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields

5-10 years experience in commercial HVAC mechanical piping, plumbing and sheet
metal

Ability to handle physical workload

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Solid knowledge of the construction process

Good computer skills
