ACCA Affiliates and Members can Top-Up

with the ICAEW qualification at Phoenix

Once you have completed ACCA you could be entitled to up to 12
exemptions from the ICAEW qualification.
What exemptions are you entitled to?
ACCA Affiliate
Completed P6 and P7?
If you have completed P6 and P7 you are entitled to 12 exemptions from the ICAEW
qualification. You will only have three Advanced Stage papers left to complete; Corporate
Reporting, Strategic Business Management and the Advanced Case Study
Completed Just P6 and not P7?
If you have completed P6 and not P7 you will only be entitled to 11 exemptions and will still
need to complete the ICAEW Audit and Assurance paper plus the three Advanced Stage
papers.
Completed Just P7 and not P6?
If you have completed just P7 and not P6 you will only be entitled to 10 exemptions and will
still need to complete the two ICAEW Taxation papers; Tax compliance and Business
Planning Taxation plus the three ICAEW Advanced Stage papers.
Not completed P6 or P7?
If you have not completed P6 or P7 you will only be entitled to 9 exemptions and will still
need to complete the two ICAEW Taxation papers; Tax Compliance and Business Planning
Taxation, the ICAEW Audit and Assurance paper plus the three ICAEW Advanced Stage
papers.
ACCA Member
If you are an ACCA member, you are entitled to all 12 exemptions if you have completed P6.
If you have not completed P6, you will need to complete the ICAEW Business Planning
Taxation paper plus the three ICAEW Advanced Stage papers.

ICAEW Practical Work experience

ACCA Affiliate
As an ACCA Affiliate you need to complete a
three year training contract with an ICAEW
approved employer. If you are currently
working with a company which is already
ICAEW approved and you have a minimum of
two years work experience with this
company, you may be eligible to backdate
your training contract by up to 12 months

ACCA Member
As an ACCA Member you need to complete a
two year training contract with an ICAEW
approved employer. If you are currently
working with a company which is already
ICAEW approved and you have a minimum of
two years work experience with this
company, you may be eligible to backdate
your training contract by up to 8 months
