MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 28-30; Hebrews 4
Monday, October 31

Job 1:5 And it was so, when the days of [his childrens birthday] feasting were gone
about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt
offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned,
and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS PRAYER LIFE

Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 31-33; Hebrews 5
Tuesday, November 1

WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 34-36; Hebrews 6
Wednesday, November 2

John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I
am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the
foundation of the world.

Rom. 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh,
to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Holy Father:
Job was a patriarch, a founding father of those who belong to God by faith.
So what he did in early morning and after family holidays, let me do on behalf of
the lost souls I come in contact with. I will rise up today and sanctify themby
setting them aside, and presenting them to you in my prayer. Let me also offer
the living sacrifice of my life to reach them, according to the number of them all!
In the entering of Fall it would be easy to forget the state of their souls. But
it may be they have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Holy Spirit, let me be the
priest and intercessor who will turn Gods heart back toward __________ and
__________, because they need to be saved today!
1 Pet. 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood,
to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Let me not be forgetful of my high calling as a believer-priest. I cannot be
idle, like others. I have a job to do. It is the sacrifice that sanctifies. Lord,
make them admit their ignorance and carelessness, and flee to Jesus the sacrifice.
I should come to the same sacrifice continually on their behalf. It will not
save them, but let it set them apart for your special attention. It is the privilege of
royal priests to live at the altar. Then even as great as sin is, it is no cause for
despair, because the sin-atoning Jesus has cleansed every guilty stain.
Rom. 12:1 present your bodies a living sacrifice which is your reasonable
service.

My Father and Glorious Lord:

There is nothing better than beholding the glory of Christ in your word.
That is what fuels true emotional health! As David says,
Psa. 39:3 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then
spake I with my tongue,
While pondering your word, joy (emotional health) results. Give me the
patience to really meditate on what I read and what it means, because pondering
your word IS beholding your glory. Afterward give me the boldness to share it!
Col. 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and
admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your
hearts to the Lord.
Lord, I want to live in your word as a light to the lost. Give me grace to
search-out every scripture I need, to help dwell richly in this new life of Christ I
have. I will retain those truths in my heart (emotional health) as a great resource. I
will pay the price to praise you! It rejoices Jesus to let us feel his joy, and it is
glory to us to behold his glory. How much more when we see him face to face!
2 Cor. 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are
changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Help me read, study, memorize, ponder and retain your wordmusing and
meditatingbecause then I am beholding Christs glory, and am changed into the
same image by the Holy Spirit. Then others will be drawn to Jesus through my
life! So I ask this according to your will and in Jesus glorious name. Amen.

A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING

Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 37-39; Hebrews 7

FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 40-42; Hebrews 8
Friday, November 4

Gracious Lord:
The sufferings of Jesus have been added to my account. His merit counts
for me, and his righteousness is now mine. So the best dress clothing I can wear
is to put on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Make me loathe the filthy rags of my sin! In my mind I know I am defiled,
but I do not yet have in my emotions a true abhorrence of that defilement. Bring
it to my heart today, for that will bring revival. I want to love God and long to be
like God. Breed a new repentance in my faithbecause the death of Christ will
bring death to my sins. I want to die to sin because of his death for my sin.
Only Christ can give me power to be holy, I confess. To be patient,
longsuffering, gracious and forgiving is something I can only learn from watching
Jesus. He will teach me how to be excited about spiritual things, and heroic in
standing up for him. In Christ I can deny myself. In Christ I can keep from
making provision for the flesh. There is no such matchless power for true revival
like simple faith in Christ. Help me walk worthy of the garment I now wear!
I will put him on as Lord, becoming his servant, letting him be Master
I will put him on as Jesus, acknowledging him as the only Savior
I will put him on as Christ, anointed from God through the Holy Spirit
for every act of ministry
Not just my Savior; you are my Captain! You are my Christ, anointing me
for service. I take a whole Christ today. May others see nothing of me, but much
of Jesus my Lord. Make him increase as I decrease, because that is the result of
revival, and so it will please God. Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 43-45; Hebrews 9
Saturday, November 5

Eph. 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in
the Lord:

Psa. 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my
portion for ever.

We Praise You, O Lord:

We praise for your Eternal Purpose of love to fallen men and women. You
made a distinction between us and the angels who sinned. You are mindful of our
salvation, yet allow angels to perish forever without redemption. We thank you
for choosing so many of us out of the world, and putting those who are saved
into the hand of Christ. We thank you for revealing this mercy in various pictures
and promises in the Old Testament. In the fullness of time you sent your own
Son to take our nature upon himself, and redeem us by his death. Amazing!
We give the glory to your justice and your grace for this work of terror and
compassionthis work of reconciling sinners to yourself by the punishment of
your Son. Truly we are not worthy, and we praise you for the gospel you shout to
the world as we fulfill your Eternal Purpose, for it is truly good news of pardon
and peace. Lord, you confirm it with such abundant testimonies so as to raise and
establish our faith. We give glory to that power of yours that preserved the gospel
throughout all ages, and through ten thousand oppositions of Satan. You
delivered it safe down to our age, and put us in trust of the faith. Help us
proclaim the glad tidings of peace between God and man to all nations.
We bless you that you have built a temple for yourself in us! We thank you
we are born into such a land of light and freedom as thisall the more our
responsibility to proclaim the gospel to the world. We give you thanks for your
goodness in our preservation from many dangers we could never foresee, and
therefore could not ask you to prevent. We are infinitely indebted to you for your
grace to our children. So we humbly bow and adore you in prayer. Amen.

Oh, My Father:
You are far more to me than all the wealth, honor, and peace I have so
often envied in unbelievers. Help me empty myself of earthly desires so I can be
filled with you! No longer let my wishes wander. No longer let my attention stray.
Be my all in all.
My flesh and my heart fail me. My body cannot keep up with my spiritual
desires. My heart is deceitful and often leads me astray. But you have never failed
me, and never could. Be my protection and joy today. Keep my heart by divine
love. Give me the right love for the right things, and the right people, at the right
time. Make it a holy love that never succumbs to sin. Drive sinful desires far
out to sea. Replace them with the fruit of your Spirit.
There is nothing desirable except you. This is what will set my heart on a
correct course. If I think I dont really believe that, then let me state it by faith
and pray for you to help mine unbelief! All other things are lesser things. Let my
heart abide alone in you who abides forever.
I need to live near you. To follow afar off leads to being caught-up in
sin. Help me keep Christ at the center, since I profess to be your servant. You
require spiritual purity; give it to me by your pure Spirit.
The nearer I am to you, the less I am affected by distractions. Attractions of
earth grow strangely dim in the light of your glory and grace. Access to your
presence through prayer is a marvelous cure for a multitude of sins! I approach
you as the source of all good. Grant me strength by your grace. Be my portion
forever, through Jesus my Lord. Amen.

1 Cor. 11:23-26 the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is
broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup,
when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye
drink it, in remembrance of me.

MARVELOUS grace of our loving Lord, grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvarys mount outpoured, there where the blood of the Lamb was
spilt.
Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold, threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold, points to the refuge, the mighty cross.
Dark is the stain that we cannot hide. What can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide, brighter than snow you may be today.
Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace, freely bestowed on all who believe!
You that are longing to see His face, will you this moment His grace receive?
Grace, grace, Gods grace, grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, Gods grace, grace that is greater than all our sin.

THIS WEEKS EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.

TITHEWORK

1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)

TEAMWORD

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS

Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)

Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of
walking with us)
Basing beliefs and actions on the mind of Christ (your church relationship in
the Word)

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.

Thanksgiving: A Recipe for Leadership, John 21:15-21
Reconciling Differences, Song of Solomon 5-6

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
