Content Standard :
1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will
be able to pronounce words and speak confidently
with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
Learning Standard :
1.1.3 Able to listen to, say aloud and recite rhymes or

Objectives :
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to :
(a) Sing the song with actions.
(b) Talk about the stimulus with guidance.
Activities :
1. Teacher sings the I am Special song together
with pupils.
2. Teacher plays the environmental sounds and asks
pupils to identify the sounds.
3. Teacher asks pupils the senses that we use to hear
the sound.
4. Teacher asks pupils about what they can see,
touch, hear, taste and smell in an orchard.
5. Teacher plays the senses together with pupils.
6. Teacher divides pupils into four groups.
7. Teacher asks pupils to record what they see, touch,
hear, taste and smell in their checklist.
8. Teacher asks pupils to tell their friends what they
have from the activity.

Learning Standard :
2.2.1 Able to read and understand a paragraph of 5-8
simple sentences.
2.2.2 Able to read and understand phrases in linear
and non-linear texts.
Objectives :
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to :
(a) Complete the jigsaw pieces correctly
(b) Answer at least four out of seven crossword
puzzles correctly.
(c) Match at least three out of five sentence halves
correctly.
(d) Answer at least seven out of ten comprehension
questions with guidance correctly.
(e) Fill in the lyrics correctly.
Teaching & Learning Procedures :
Set Induction ( 5 Minutes)
Procedures :
1. Teacher distributes each pupils with an envelope.
2. Every pupil has a jigsaw pieces and they have to
combine the entire jigsaw to form a picture.
3. Teacher encourages the FI pupils to discuss their
answer with their partner. Meanwhile the FD
pupils will do the activity by themselves.
4. Teacher guides pupils especially the FI pupils as
they do their task.
5. The fastest will be the winner.

Pre-Reading ( 10 minutes )
1. Teacher shows picture cards of body part to
pupils.
2. Teacher asks pupils to say aloud each of the
body part and point to their body parts.
3. Teacher asks pupils to show their body parts
verbally.

Teacher: Show me your eyes.
Pupils: These are my eyes.
4. Teacher repeats the same procedures with the
other parts of the body.
5. Teacher distributes crossword puzzles task to
pupils.
6. Teacher reads the instructions and explains on
how to the task given.
7. Teacher encourages the pupils to discuss with
their partner to find out the answers.
While Reading ( 20 minutes)
1. Teacher asks the pupils to sit in a group. (the
same group as in the set induction).
2. Teacher distributes each group with sentence
parts, manila cards, glue and scissors.
3. Teacher models how to do the activity.
4. Teacher asks the pupils to match the sentence
parts to make a correct sentence and presents
their answers in front of the class. Teacher
checks the answers together with the pupils.
5. Teacher distributes worksheet to each pupils and
asks explains on how to do the task.
( Refer to Appendix D)
6. Teacher checks and guides pupils as they do
their task.
Post Reading ( 20 minutes)
1. Teacher display the Little Red Riding Hood story

to the students (( Refer to Appendix E)


2. Teacher models reading the story and followed
by the pupils. Teacher calls pupils randomly to
read the story.
3. Then, the teacher sticks the story posters to the
wall at accessible points inside or just outside the
classroom. Then, she hands out one questions
sheet per pupil.
4. Pupils leave their questions sheet on their desk
and run to the story posters to find the answers
they need to complete their questions. They then
run back to their desks to write the answers on
their sheets.
5. When the pupils have finished the teacher
checked their answers as a class.
Closure ( 5 minutes )
1. Review the name of parts of the body using
the word cards.
2. Asks the pupils randomly about word cards
shown.
3. Pastes up the song lyric Yes, I can on the
board.
4. Teacher models how to sing the song and
followed by the pupils.
5. Teacher demonstrates the action of the songs.
6. Teacher and the pupils sing the song together
with the lyric. Teacher asks the pupils to sing
and make action based on the song learnt.
7. Teacher distributes a simple task based on
the song learnt.
