Dear Mr. Winter,
I am writing to file a complaint against Enchantment PAC for current violations of
the Campaign Reporting Act.
We are requesting that you immediately investigate these clear violations of the
Campaign Reporting Act. Enchantment PAC, supposedly an independent
expenditure committee, continues to collect vast sums of money including
contributions of $100,000 or more from out of state dark money entities.
Yet, against New Mexico statutes, the required NM SOS filings establish that
Enchantment PAC has continued to make donations directly to Democrat
candidates, in clear violation of the law. For example, see SpeechNow v FEC which
states that contribution limits on direct contributions to candidates remains
constitutional:
1) Natalie for New Mexico $600.00 9/30/2016;
2) Michael Sanchez for District 29 $1,000 7/7/2016;
3) Melissa Eisenberg (contract to assist Larry Martinez for SD 35 race) $450
