The 10 Commandments

1. You shall have no other gods before Me.

2. Do not take the name of the Lord in vain.
3. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
4. Honor your father and mother.
5. You shall not kill/murder.
6. You shall not commit adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false witness against your
neighbor.
9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to
your neighbor.
This is the first law of God, without which cannot be saved neither the
people of Israel, nor people of Russia, nor people of England, nor people of
China, nor people of Serbia, nor any people on the earth.
Indeed, this law is short but with it much is told to everyone who is able
to think and who is searching for salvation for his soul.
Everyone who does not adopt the first law of God by his soul, cannot
come close to Christ nor to Christ's law. Since the one who does not learn to
swim in shallow water must not dare into the deep; he will drown. And the one
who does not learn to walk, must not run; he will fall and get wounded. And the
one who does not learn to calculate with single digits will never be able to
calculate with thousands. And the one who does not learn to spell first, will
never learn to speak and read fluently. And the one who does not lay the
foundation of the house first, will purposelessly try to build the roof and the
domes.
And once more: the one who does not fulfill the law of Moses, will knock
in vain at the castle of Christ. Christ will not open the door to him.
And here it is, brethren, what does this first law of God all tell and mean,
when it is considered closer and thought about deeper.
The 1st Commandment: You shall have no other gods before me.
This means: There is only one God and there are no other gods. He is the One
on the Highest, All Mighty, and All Wise and Virtuous Good God. He is holy,
healthy and immortal. He is restful, peaceful, without the beginning and
without the end, without needs and without vice. All the worlds hang onto Him
and nothing can happen without Him. He is the center of universe and like axle
in the wheel he holds the universe, which turns around him the same way that
the wheel rotates around the axle. All the power is in God and there is no
bigger power than the power of God. The power of light, water, air and rock all
comes from God. The power of plant to grow out of a seed, the power of the
grass to breathe, and the power of the man to live come from the power of
God. The power of the devil is the borrowed power from God, not given but lent
to the devil, who then uses it for bad purposes to do evil. It is like when a
madman borrows some fire from the smith to warm up and puts it to his ribs

setting himself on fire. All power belongs to God and all creatures only borrow
that power for their purposes. So whenever you need strength, ask God for it
because there is no other source of strength. So this is how you pray to God:
God Oh Lord, the only source of power that never dries up, give me strength
since I am weak so that I can serve you. Give me wisdom so that I do not
misuse the power you have given me, but that I use the power that you have
given me to the Glory of Your Name. Amen
Then all wisdom is in God and there is no wisdom and no knowledge outside
of God. God has lent a piece of his wisdom to every creation. Do not think
brother that God only gave wisdom to a man because you will be mistaken.
Everything has a piece of God's wisdom and nothing would exist without God's
wisdom. There is a piece of wisdom in a bull, in a horse, in a bee, in a fly, in
birds, in a tree, in a rock, in water, in air, in fire and in the wind. Everything has
God's wisdom and nothing could ever exist without God's wisdom. It is by God's
wisdom that things happen at a certain time, like a bull mates at a certain
time, a horse senses that there may be a danger, a bee makes bee wax, a fly
senses that there will be rain, a bird makes its nest and a bird knows when to
care for its chicks, a tree knows how to grow and a rock can silently turn into a
crystal, water runs down the hill and water flies in the sky among the clouds,
and fire burns and gives light and fire can stay locked up in a small container,
and the wind knows its path to bring purity to dirt and health to the sick and
the wind knows what is between the stars and what is on the stars. No one has
his own wisdom because all wisdom comes from the Source, That is in God. So
when you look for wisdom look for it in God since God is the only source of the
great wisdom and there are no other sources. This is the way to pray to God
about wisdom: "All Wise, All Powerful, Lord God, give me the gift of your
unlimited wisdom, which is alive, and I do not have it. Direct me Lord God that I
do not use this gift for evil like Satan does, but for my own good and the good
of my beloved ones, and to the great glory of Your Name. Amin
Then there is all goodness in God. This is why Christ says that no one is trully
good but God. God's goodness includes His mercy, patience, and forgiveness
for the sinners. God has lent his goodness to every creature. Even the devil
understands the meaning of goodness and knows that good for anyone can be
good for him too. However the devil is mistaken because he thinks that he can
do good for himself if he hurts God's creatures. Every creature has so much of
God's goodness! There's goodness in the rock, in a plant, in the animal, in the
fire, in the water, in the air and in the wind. All that goodness is a loan from
God, Who is everlasting source of endless, neverending and eternal goodness.
So when you want to find more goodness do not look for it anywhere else but in
God. Ask God to give you goodness. Only God has plenty of goodness and good
to give you. So pray to God like this:
All good, All Merciful, All Patient God give me the gift of goodness since I don't
have any good. Let me shine with your goodness, let me rejoice in your
goodness, let me have your goodness so that I can serve you better. Lead me

and preserve me Lord God and show me how to use the good you give me so
that I do not do bad things with it like Satan, but use it for happiness and joy of
my beloved ones and all God's creatures around me.
Therefore God is endless Power, endless Wisdom and endless Goodness.
Wisdom, power and goodness are in The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit,
three features melted in one. By the integrity and virtuousness of this holy
three sided powerful Being were created all the creatures that are living and all
the non-living things that exist. Whoever does not acknowledge either one of
the gifts coming from the Source of power, wisdom and goodness, he falls into
damnation of eternal pain and suffering signing up to join Satan's army. If he
gives up on the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit give up on him. If he gives
up on the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit give up on him. If he gives up on
the Holy Spirit, the Son and the Father give up on him. If he gives up on two of
the three, his damnation is secure. If he gives up on all three, the Father, the
Son and the Holy Spirit, he no longer exists. This is why King David said that
the madman says in his heart "there's no God". It is even more terrifying my
brothers to walk away from the Holy Spirit. It is easier to forgive a man for not
having wisdom and power, but not having goodness is impossible to forgive, in
this life and in eternal life/death-afterlife.
"Do not have any other gods except for me." commands Lord God.
Why do you need other gods if you have God the Savior? Keep in mind that if
you have two lords, one of them is bound to be the devil. You can't serve both,
God and Satan, just like a bull can't help plow two lands at the same time and
just like one candle can't be lit in two houses at the same time. A calf does not
need two masters because they will rip it apart, the mountain does not need
two suns because the suns will burn it, an aunt does not need two drops of
water because they will drown it, a child does not need two mothers because
he will end up with none. You don't need to have two gods because you will not
have more stability in life, you will have less. You do not need four gods
because you won't be more couragous but more cowardly. You don't need
hundred gods because you won't be happier but sadder. If you have as many
gods as you have as many people your gods will be weaker than the people
you have. If you have as many gods as there are as many aunts, your gods will
be as little as aunts. The more gods you have the weaker those gods will be
and the candles will be thinner. Having so many gods is like having more
problems than solutions. Just stay with Your Only One Lord God who has all the
power, all the wisdom and all the goodness, unified, endless and everlasting.
Respect only the Savior, bow down to the Savior and fear the Savior. Pray
to Lord God: "Lord God you can have countless many creatures, but none of
your creatures can have more than you have. Chase away Lord God all of my
bad thoughts and dreams about other Gods just like strong wind chases away
multitudes of poisonous flies. Cleanse my soul, put a light in it, enlarge it, God,
and settle in it by yourself like a King in his palace. That will raise me up,
strengthen me, cultivate me, stranghten me out and refresh me. Glory to

you and thank you my only True God, you who rises above all idols like a tall
mountain over the shadows on the paddle. Amen .
The Second Commandment: Do not adore any image or a picture more than
you adore God, do not worship anything that is in the water, on earth or under
the earth.
This means: Do not adore a creation like you adore the Creator. If you have
already climbed to the top of a high mountain where you have seen Lord God,
why do you get distracted by the shadows under the mountain? When a man
yearns to see the emperor, why would he search for the emperor among his
servants? He's looking at the servants for two possible reasons: He's either not
permitted to stand in the presence of the emperor, or he does not think that
the emperor can straighten out his situation.
1. Why wouldn't a man be allowed to stand in the presence of the emperor
God? Isn't this emperor also his father!? What type of a person would be afraid
to face his own father?! Didn't God think of you before you were even born!?
Didn't He care for you without you even suspecting that He looked out for
you!? Doesn't He care about you more than you care about yourself!? Why are
you then afraid of Him?
In reality you are not afraid of God as a man, but as a sinner. Sin is always
there with fear and sin always brings fear to the wrong places and at the wrong
time. It is the same sin that makes you look at the servants instead the
emperor. It is easy for the sin to dwell among the servants because the sin is in
charge of the servants because the servants and the sin and the servants all
keep each other company. However, you should know that the emperor is more
merciful than the servants. So don't pay attention to the servants, but feel free
to pay attention to the emperor, God, your Heavenly Father. The emperor's eye
is going th destroy the sin like the sunray destroys poisonous bug in the water
to make the water clean for drinking.
2. When you think that the emperor can't help you it's easy to get distracted by
the servants. Really, if God can't help you, the servants are even less likely to
help you. All God's creation expects help from God, so how can you expect any
help from those who are in need of it? If you are thirsty and can't quench your
thirst from the mountain stream, how can you get any water from tiny drops of
the morning dew in the grass?
Who adores the dead images? Only the one who does not know the Creator can
adore the creation. The one who does not believe in God or does not know God
has no other choice but to adore things, because it is in human nature to
worship. God engraved the mountains and the valleys, and bodies of the
animals and the plants, and the clouds and the lakes, and then God painted the
grasslands and the fields. Who knows the glory of God gives praises to God,

and who does not know the glory of God gives praises and appreciation to the
things God engraved and painted.
Idolatry is not the worst of all sins. It's a lot worse when the man adores his
own creation, which he has made with his own hands and which he has
invented with hiw own brain. People living in the wilderness engrave pictures of
gods in the trees and pray to those images and bow down to those images.
God forgives them for this and answers their prayers because God hears their
prayers and gives them protection and blessing knowing that they are still
learning. People who know better still engrave pictures of gods and there are
artists who think that their paintings are God. There are writers who write
books and get it in their heads that their books are better than the sky and the
earth and then bow to their own books. There are rich men who accumulate
wealth like a hamster burries and saves his food reserves for later. Then the
rich pile up their savings and worship their own savings thinking that they are
better than everyone else and there are rich who do not know that their wealth
is passing and temporary. A man's god is where his thougbts and heart are.
If a man dedicates all of his thoughts and all of his heart to his family and does
not know any other God, then his family are his god. They suffer from a
spiritual illness of the first kind.
If a man dedicates all of this thoughts and all of his heart to his gold and silver
and does not want to know any other god then he worships gold and silver and
those things are his god. He bows down to gold and silver day and night until
the day he dies and then he is no more. They suffer from the spiritual illness of
the second kind.
If a man dedicates all of his thoughts and all of his heart to rising above other
people, to be the first among the people, so that people celebrate him, and
praise him and he thinks that he's better than anyone else, better than
anything on and above the earth, then such a man is his own god to whom he
brings sacrifices. They suffer from the spiritual illness of the third kind.
Really, brothers, only those who are suffering from spiritual illnesses do not
know the Real God. Spiritually healthy people are healthy thanks to their
knowing of the Real God, Who is the Master and the King of all engraved
images, all families and all gold and silver and all mortals on the earth.
If God's name is written on a piece of paper or in the wood, or on the rock, or in
the snow, or in the earth, respect all of those things for the sake of the Most
Holy Name that is written on that paper, wood, snow, earth and rock but do not
worship the rock, the snow, the earth, the wood and the paper.
If someone paints the picture of God on something, bow down to it, but keep in
mind that you are not bowing down to the thing on which the picture of God is

painted , but you bow down to the Live God of Whiom the picture reminds you
of.
When someone sings praises to God or sings ls hymns to God, do not bow
down to the voices of the singers, but to the Great and Live God of Whom the
songs and hymns remind you of.
When you look at the starts admiring how shiny and far away they are, don't
bow down to the starts, becayse they are also the creation of God's Hands, but
bow down to Almighty God on the HIghest, of Whom they remind you of.
When you go down on your knees in the evening to pray to God, say: My only
Lord, I only know Thee, and only Thee I glorify and praise; and when the next
day reveals all of your grace and glory through the endless beauty of your
creation, and when the night covers everything with obscurity stay with me so
that I can be alone with Thee. Amen
The Third Commandment: Do not call God's name in vain
What? Is there a person who dares to call the powerful name of God Almighty
in vain? When God's name is mentioned in heaven, the skies bow down, the
stars shine brighter, archangels and angels begin to sing: Holy, holy, holy God
the All Knowing is Allknowing, and saints and souls loyal to God fall on their
knees before the Lord. Who then dares among the mortals to mention the most
holy of all names without any fear and without a deep sigh from yearning to be
close to God?
When a man is facing death, mention any name to him that you know and you
will not encourage him and you will not give his soul any peace. But when you
mention the only name of God, you will console him and you will give him
peace, you will restore the peace in his soul. Then a man facing death will look
at you with gratitude since you have mentioned the comforting name of God.
When friends and relatives betray a man, and a man feels all alone in this
world, and tired from being all alone in this world, mention God's name to him,
and a man will feel like you gave his weary feet support, a man will feel that
you gave relief from the pain in his weary limbs, that are his legs, and arms.
When evil neighbors who do not mean well all gang up on a man, with their
false testimonies to bind him, to hire vicious mean judges to throw him into
prison, come up to that poor righteous man and whisper God's name in his ear.
Indeed, in that moment there will be tears in his eyes, there will be hope and
trust in that man, and his shackles will be as light as leaves from the linden
tree.
When a man is drowning in a deep water, and when at the crucial moment
finding himself between life and death he mentions God's name his strength
doubles.

When a man is surrounded by wild ferrocious beasts, and relies only on his own
strength and skills, he looks ridiculous and weak to those hungry animals.
However, the moment he calls God's name to ask God to come to his rescue
that man all of a sudden becomes scary to those scary beasts.
When a scientist struggles to figure out some difficult puzzle or secret that the
nature holds, feeling cheated in his attempts to tackle these problems with his
limited small mind, he mentions God's name, the name of All Reason, light
comes upon his soul and the puzzle begins to solve itself.
Oh mighty name of God, how powerful you are, how beautiful, and how
precious. Let my mouth be silent forever if my mouth would call your name in
vain, if I would be lukewarm and neglectful with your sweet name.
A store owner was sitting in his store and constantly kept on calling God's
name in vain, using God's name as a curse word or a phrase to express his
frustrations. A guy walking down the street, who was a landlord, heard the
store owner call God's name in vain and was concerned. He did not like that so
he decided to pull a prank on the store owner. He called the store owner to
come out of his store several times and every time the store owner came out
of the store to find out who was calling him, the landlord played dumb. The
landlord denied having calling the store owner to come out but the store owner
realized that this was a prank and told the landlord that he did not have the
time to waste his time on nonsense. The landlord then said to him: "Indeed,
God has a lot more work on his hands, but you have called upon God a lot more
than I called upon you. Who has more right to be upset, you or God?" Then the
store owner felt ashamed, returned to his store, sat down in his chair and fell
silent.
Let God's name my brothers consistently shimmer, like a bright lamp in your
soul, thoughts and in the heart, but do not let it come out of your mouth until a
very important moment comes.
A black man lived in the house of some evil white man, and the white man
always called God's name in vain and used God's name as a curse word. The
black man was merciful and a righteous man. The white man had a dog, which
he loved very much. Still the white man disrespected God's name. Fed up with
the white man's evil doing, the black man started to put dirt on the dog to
make the dog dirty. Seeing this, the white man yelled "What are you doing to
the dog!?!" "The same thing you do to God", the black man replied calmly. In
one hospital south from that place there was a medical doctor with his helper,
and these two men cussed and cursed at everything and everyone. Even Lord
God was not spared from their foul mouths.
One day a friend from far away visited the doctor. The doctor invited him to
watch a surgery of a very nasty wound on the patient. The doctor's helper was

there too. The visiting friend got sick from seeing the wound, which looked
nasty and had foul smell. To make things worse, the doctor's helper was
constantly swearing/cursing. The friend asked the doctor: "How can you listen
to these awful God-hating words?" The doctor replied: "I am used to this. Pus
must come out of purulent wounds. Who has pus in the body the pus comes
out of the infected wounds and the wounds swell up; who has purulent wounds
in the soul has pus coming out of his mouth. So when my helper says the curse
words,he only reveals and effuses the accumulated evil like pus, from the
wounds of his soul."
Oh Almighty why doesn't the bull say your name in vain and why does the man
do it? Why did you make the bull's mouth cleaner than the mouth of the man?
Oh Merciful, why don't the frogs curse you, and the man does? Why did you
make a frog's throat nobler than the man's throat?
All Always Patient, why doesn't snake exercise blasphemy upon your name, and
the man does? Why did you create the snake that is closer to the angels than
the man?
Oh The Most Wonderful, why doesn't the wind, which blows over the land in all
possible directions, never calls your name in vain, and the man does? Why is
the wind more afraid of You than the man?
Oh Miraculous Name of God, how powerful you are, how beautiful, and how
sweet! Let my mouth be quiet forever and ever,if it ever said your name
neglectfully, watery and vainly.
The Fourth Commandment: Work for six days and finish all of your work, and
the seventh day is the day of resting dedicated to Lord God.
This means:
God has created six worlds and he rests in the seventh world. Six of the worlds
are temporary, unstable and passing, and the seventh world is eternal, peaceful
and permanent. God has entered time by creating the world but did not leave
eternity. This is a big mystery and it is better to think about it than to talk about
it. This mystery is not available to everyone, only to God's chosen ones.
Stuck in the passing times God's chosen people have to rise up to wheel axle of
the seventh world where there is eternal peace and tranquility.
You can work and rest.Work because God works too; rest because God rests
too. Let your work be creation, because you are the Child of the Creator. Do not
destroy,but generate.

Think of your work as the cooperation with God. This way you won't do evil, but
good. Before you begin any work ask yourself in your thoughts if God would do
something like this. Because, mainly God does everything, we just cooperate.
All things are constantly working. Let that give you the willpower to do your
work. Look, when you get up in the morning, the sun has already done a lot,
sun and the water and air, and plants and animals. Laziness is an insult to the
world and a sin before God.
Your heart and lungs work day and night. Why not let your hands work? Why
not let your brain work?
The stars constatnly run across the sky, faster than the horse at a gallop, day
and night. Why would you surrender to idleness and laziness?
A very rich merchant lived in a town with three sons. The merchant was so hard
working that he piled up the riches upon the riches making too much money.
When people asked him why he worked so hard to get richer and richer, the
merchant answered: "I am working hard so that my sons don't have to." When
his sons heard that. they became lazy and idle. The sons left all of their jobs,
and when the merchant, their father died, they spent away all of the father's
money. The merchant asked God to allow him to leave the afterlife, come back
to life and visit his home. However, when the merchant knocked on the door, a
stranger opened. The merchant asked how his sons were doing, and the
stranger told him that they are in prison because of the negligence, that
ledthem to drunkenness, drunkenness led them to quarrell, and quarrelling led
them to arson and murder.
Signed the crazy father, "I thought that I was going to create Heaven for my
children, but I created Hell.
Then the crazy father went into town to tell all the other parents what he has
learned: "Do not be crazy like I was. I threw my children into hell because I
loved them so much. Do not leave brothers any properties to your children.
Teach them how to work and let them inherit your work ethic. Give everything
to the poor if you are rich before you die.
Indeed there is no better way to lose your soul but to inherit property from your
parents. Stay convinced that the devilis happier when someone inherits a lot.
An angel isn't. Big inheritances are the best tools for the devil to use to corrupt
people easily and quickly.
This is why you should teach your children how to do their own work. When you
work, do not work only for a benefit or a success. See the beauty and pleasure
that the work for its own sake has to offer. A carpenter can get between ten
and fifty dinars for a chair. The beauty and pleasure of this work, that an
inspired carpenter feels when he's trimming, scraping, refining and putting the

parts together are priceless. This is the pleasure similar to the pleasure God
experienced during the creation of the world, with all the trimmings, scraping,
refining and putting parts of the world together. All of God's creation could
have a price and could be bought off, but the beauty and pleasure of God's
personal experience during this creation is even more valuable.
Keep in mind that you are lowering the price of your work if you think only
about how to benefit from it. No such work can be given to a man when a man
only wants to make money from it. Even the wood will get mad at you if you do
not work on it with love, will not be easy to work on if you only are doing this
for the money. The earth will hate you if you plow it only to make profits , the
iron will burn you, the water will drown you, the stone will squash you if you
don't have love when you work with it, if you only have your mind on the coins
and dinars.
Do your work the same way that the nightingale sings its song. God will go
ahead in his work, and you follow him. If you run past God and leave God
behind, your work will bring damnatiion, not blessings.
Rest on the seventh day.
How can you rest? Resting is with God and in God. No other has more resting
peace. This is the world of restlessness, like a vortex.
Dedicate the seventh day only to God and this way you will trully rest and gain
new energy.
On the seventh day think about God all day long, talk about God, read about
God, listen about God and pray to God. Then you will trully be rested.
A godless man did not respect God's commandment about celebrating the end
of the week, and extended his saturday work onto Sunday. While the entire
village was resting, he was in the fields, sweating, toiling with his live stock
which also needed its rest. By wednesday, he tired, his live stock tired too, so
when the whole village was working in the fields, he was sitting home,
exhausted and in a bad mood.
This is why brothers you don't want to be like the godless man from the story
because you can lose your health, energy and soul. Work six days in
cooperation with God, with love, pleasure and awe, but dedicate the seventh
day to Lord God. Indeed, I tried this and I know, when you celebrate Sunday
properly, you become more spiritual, feel vibrant and happier.
The Fifth Commandment: Respect your father and your mother, so that God
would bless you and give you long life on this earth.

This means: Before you have learned about Lord God, your parents have
already known Him. This is enough reason to bow down to them and thank
them and respect them and thank and respect any other person who have
known the highest good in this world before you were born.
A very rich young man from India travelled with his loyal guards across the
Hindukoosh mountain. There in the mountain they found a very old man who
was herding goats. The old man was very poor and he bowed down to the rich
young man. The rich young man got off his elephant and bowed down to the
ground before the old man. The old man was very surprised, and the rich man's
guards were surprised too. The rich young man said to the old man: "I bow
down to your eyes because they have seen the world, a masterpiece of the
Creating God before I was born; I bow down to your mouth, because it has
uttered God's holy name before I was born, and I bow down to your heart
because it shimmered from the joyful knowing of the Father, who is Father of all
people, the eternal Emperor and Lord.
Respect your father and your mother because your path from your birth until
now is covered with your mother's tears and your father's sweat.
They loved you minutes after you were born though others were disgusted with
your helplessness and filthiness. They will continue to love you even when
everyone else starts to hate you. When everyone starts to throw rocks at you,
your mother will throw flowers at you.
Your father loves you though he knows all of your weaknesses. Others will hate
you even if they only know your strengths.
Your father and mother love you with awe, because they sense that you are
God's treasure, entrusted to them for safeguarding and nurturing. No one is
able, like your parents are, to see God's mystery in you. Their love for you has
sacred roots in eternity.
Through the tenderness they show you your parents understand the
tenderness God shows to all of his created children.
Like the spurs encourage the horse to trot, the same way your bitterness
towards parents causes them to worry about you even more.
A wicked son ran towards his father and stuck a knife in his chest. The dying
father said to his son: "Wash the dagger from the blood quickly, so that they
don't catch you and convict you."
Somewhere in a Russian steppe, a dissolute son tied his mother to keep her out
of his tent, while he drank and partied with immoral women and men. The
robbers saw this and said that they were going to avenge the tied woman. The

tied woman warned her unfortunate son of the coming danger. Her son saved
himself, but the robbers slaughtered the mother instead.
In a Persian town Teheran an old father lived with his two daughters. The
daughters did not listen to their father and laughed at his well intended advice.
Their dirty and shameful lifestyle have tainted the father's face so he lost his
honor. The old father has been bothering the wicked daughters like a bad
conscience. One evening, when the daughters plotted to poison their father,
they agreed to prepare the poison while he was sleeping to give it to him in the
morning when they serve his tea. The father overheared his daughters' talk,
and cried bitterly praying to God. The daughters brought the poisoned tea to
their father in the morning as planned. The father said to them:
"I know your intention and I will go away as you wished me to do.
However, I won't be removed by your sin, because I wish to save your souls, so
let my own sin remove me."
Upon saying this the father dumped the poisoned tea on the ground,
jumped out of the window and died.
Son, do not take so much pride in your knowledge in front of your ignorant
father, because his love is more valuable than all of your wisdom. Beware, if it
weren't for him, you, your knowledge and wisdom would not be around.
Daughter, do not be so proud of your beauty in front of your hunched old
mother because her heart in her aging body is more beautiful than your face.
Beware, your you and your beauty came out of her lean old body.
Learn daughter how to respect your father, because this is the only way you
will learn how to respect other fathers on this earth.
Practice, son, day and night. practice respecting your mother, because this is
the only way you will learn how to respect other mothers on this earth.
Indeed, children, you don't do much if you only respect your father and mother,
but despise other fathers and mothers. Your respect for your own parents is
only a way to learn how to respect all men and all women, because they take a
lot of pain and sweat to bear, care for and love their children. Remember this
and live by this rule, so that God would bless you on this earth.
Indeed, children, you don't do much if you only respect only the father's and
the mother's personalities, and not their work, effort, sacrifice, sent time and
contemporaries. Beware! Respecting your parents you respect their hard work,
time, effort, sacrifices and their contemporaries. This way you can kill the fatal
stupid habit of despising the past. Rest in belief, children that the days given to
you at your disposal are not more valuable and precious than the days given to
those who had lived before you. If you think that your time is better than the
times before it, do not forget, that it could quickly happen that the grass will
grow upon your time on your graves, where your bodies will rest, the grass will

cover your acts, and others will make a mockery of your existances, will make
fun of your time as if it were a distant past.
Beware, every time is full of mothers and fathers, tears , pains, sacrifices, love,
faith and hope in God. This is why all times deserve their due respect.
The wise bow down to all past time as well as to all future times. The wise
knows what the crazy doesn't, and that is that his time passes as quickly as a
minute on the clock. Look at the clock, children; listen to the ticking of the
clock, observe how one minute follows another, and tell me which one of the
sixty minutes are better, longer and more important than another?
Go down on your knees and pray to God together with me:
Lord God, Heavenly Father thank you for commanding us to respect our father
and our mother on earth. Help us, Allmerciful and The Kindest, that through
respecting them we learn to respect all men and women on earth, your
precious children. And help us. All Wise, to learn not to despise but to respect
and value all times, all generations that were around before us, that were
watching your Glory, that were speaking your Holy Name and disappeared in
the dust before Your Shining Throne. Amen.
The

Sixth

Commandment:

Thou

shall

not

This

kill
means:

God gave life out of his life to all living beings that were created. Life is the
most precious property belonging to God, thus, whoever dares to disrespect
the sanctity of life, dares to unlawfully posses the most precious property
belonging to God only. All of us who are living are the temporary carriers of
God's life within ourselves, are the safeguards of God's most precious property.
This is where it comes from that we are not allowed to destroy life that we only
borrowed from God since it is life within us that we have as a loan from God
and
that
others
have
within
themselves
loaned
to
them.
So
First-we
Secondly-we

this
shall
shall

not

means:
not
try

to

kill;
destroy

and
life.

A pot maker makes a pot out of loam, and when you break it, he gets mad and
wants you to pay for it. Indeed, man is also made of cheap material, just like a
pot made out of loam, but what is expensive inside of a man, is the soul, which
makes up the man from within, and God's spirit, which gives life to the soul.
Even father and mother do not have the right to take the life away from their
children, because the parents do not give life directly, but God through the

parents. The parents are like kneading trough, in which God kneads the dough
of life, and like the furnace in which God bakes it. Parents do not give life in
that sense; since they do not give life, they do not have the right to take it
away.
When the parents who work so hard to raise their children do not have the right
to take away their lives, how can those who meet the children of other parents
in
this
world
claim
that
they
have
that
right?
When you break the pot maker's pot, the pot does not feel the pain that the pot
maker who has made the pot feels. The same way, when you kill a man, the
man does not feel as much pain as much as God does, who created the man,
built in the spirit of His inside of the man to dwell in the man.
If you have to compensate the pot maker for a broken pot, incomparably so
you must compensate God for the life that you take away. Indeed, do not fool
yourself: when people forget your crime, God cannot forget. Lo, there are
things, which even the Almighty cannot do. For example: He cannot forget your
crime. Remember this in the frenzy of your anger before you reach for the knife
or
a
gun.
Then we cannot kill life. To kill life would mean to kill God, because life belongs
to God. Who can kill God? You can break a pot, but you cannot destroy loam
out of which the pot was made and throw it out of this world. The same way,
you can destroy a man's body, but you cannot break, burn, throw around and
discard
his
soul
and
his
spirit.
A blood thirsty and awful vizier, ruler of Constantinople enjoyed watching the
executioners decapitate people right there in front of his castle. A venerable
prophet who was very poor lived in the streets as a beggar, and all people
respected him. One morning when executioners were decapitating people the
old prophet stood in front of a window where the evil ruler could see him and
began to swing the iron mallet through the air from left to right.
"What
are
you
doing?"
asked
the
vizier.
"The
same
thing
that
you
are
doing."
replied
the
beggar.
"Why?"
asked
the
vizier
again.
"Well," said the beggar, "I am trying to kill the wind with this mallet. You are
trying to kill life with a knife. My job and your job are both futile. You cannot kill
life with the knife just like I cannot kill the wind with the iron mallet."
The evil ruler withdrew from public into dark shadowy rooms of his castle, and
did not allow anyone to come to him. For three days he did not eat, drink and
did not want to see anyone. The fourth day the vizier called his friends and said
to
them:
"Indeed, God's man was right. I was doing a dumb and futile work all in
vain. Life cannot be killed just like the wind cannnot be killed."

In Chicago, United States, there lived two neighbors. One neighbor wanted to
have what the other rich neighbor had, so he entered the neighbor's home at
night while he was sleeping and cut his head off. Then he stole all of the
neighbor's money and went home. As soon as he went out to the streets, he
saw the murdered neighbor walking towards him. However, the murdered
neighbor was not carrying his own head, but the head of his murderer. The
murderer turned to run, but the murdered neighbor kept up with him. This
nightmare repeated itself every single night but the second time around the
murdered neighbor came to his dream with his own head. So the murderer took
the stolen money and threw it in the river, but that did not help either. The
murdered neighbor kept coming into his dreams every night. The murderer
surrendered himself to the law and went to prison where he had to do hard
labor. The nightmares did not stop. The murderer begged one old priest to pray
for him and to let him receive the communion. The priest asked him to admit to
having sinned prior to prayer and communion. The convict replied that he
admitted
to
the
law
that
he
had
committed
the
murder.
"That's not it," said the priest. "You have to realize and understand and admit
that life of your neighbor is your own life. Having killed him you have killed
yourself as well. That is why you saw your own head on the body of your
murdered neighbor. God is giving you the sign, that your life and life of your
neighbor
and
the
lives
of
all
people
are
the
same
life.
The convict thought about this. After thinking about this for a long time the
convict realized and understood that this is what he did. Then he prayed to God
and received communion. The spirit of the murdered man stopped coming into
his dreams and relieved from this absolution the convict spent nights and days
in prayer and repentance preaching about miracles to other convicts, to let
them know that the miracles revealed to him proved that a man cannot kill
another
without
killing
himself
in
the
process.
Oh brothers what terrible awful consequences come from a murder. If it could
be described to all people, indeed, the truth is, the craziest of all men would
not raise his hand to kill another or to take another man's life.
God wakes up the conscience of a murderer, so his own conscience eats him up
from inside like a worm eats the wood underneath the crust. It bites, it kicks,
makes noise, and barks like a mad lion, so unhappy criminal has no peace day
and night, not a peaceful moment anywhere, in this life and afterlife. It would
be easier for such man to have his skull opened to allow a swarm of bees to
live inside of it than to allow a bad, angry and dirty conscience to dwell there
instead.
That is why it is commanded that for their own peace of mind, people should
not
take
it
upon
themselves
to
kill.
O Lord God So Good and Kind, every one of your commandments is so sweet

and nutritious for the soul. O Lord God Strong and Powerful save your servant
from evil deeds and vindictive desires, so that your servant can glorify you and
celebrate you for ever and ever more for ages and ages. Amen
The Seventh Commandment: You shall not commit adultery.
And this means:
Do not have an unlawful relationship with a woman. Indeed, in this
animals are more obedient to God than many people. Because animals are
bonding between themselves just in the time and in the way as their Maker had
predisposed unto them. And many people do not know either the time or the
way of that relationship between males and females. Their mind has become
blunt because of wanton, so they do not distinguish a lawful relationship with a
woman from an unlawful one, as a sick person does not distinguish salty from
sour. Therefore you will often hear from adulterers such an excuse for their sin:
- Well, it is all the same, one's wife or someone else's, in a particular or
non-particular time. It is all the same.
The same way as a man who has a fever would say when you put salt on
his tongue, then pepper, and then sugar.
- Well, it is all the same. These are not different things. It is the same
thing, with the same taste.
If it was the same to live lawfully and unlawfully, God would not
command through Moses unto people of Israel not to commit adultery.
Adultery destroys a man physically and mentally. Adulterers usually
become contorted like a fiddlestick even before old age and end their life in
wounds, anguish and insanity. The most horrible and nasty diseases known to
science are those disseminated among mankind through adultery. Body of an
adulterer in sickness becomes like a stinking morass, from which everyone runs
with nose covered and in utter disgust.
Yet if it would end with those who are sinning, the matter would be less
terrible. But it gets too horrendous to realize that children of adulterers inherit
their parents' diseases: sons and daughters, even grand- and grandgrandchildren. Indeed, diseases from adultery are a whip for people, as
phylloxera is for vineyards. Mankind is downgraded and degenerated by these
diseases more than by any other.
The picture is awful enough having in mind just bodily pains and
uglinesses, bodily rotting and decaying, caused by adultery diseases. But the
picture becomes complete and formidable up to mind-breaking when beside
bodily ugliness an ugliness of the soul is added, as a consequence of the same
lewd evil. Due to that evil, a mental strength of a man diminishes and falls
apart. An ill man loses sharpness and depth and height of thinking that he had
before illness. He becomes dumb, faltering, dazzled, forgetful and always tired.
He ceases to be capable of any serious work. He loses character and commits
himself to all kinds of vice. He easily falls to drinking, slanders, lies, thefts and
crimes of all sorts. Inside him grows a horrendous hatred against everything
that is good, honorable, bright, prayerful, spiritual, divine. He hates good

people and makes every effort to do malice to them, to smear, insult, backbite,
defame them. As a true man-hater he is also a God-hater at the same time. He
hates all laws, human and God's, and therefore he hates all law-makers and
law-guardians. He is persecutor of order, neatness, goodness, good character,
holiness and ideals. He is a real poison to the society, who rots and stinks as a
contagious morass, and he poisons the whole surrounding. His body is a pus
and his soul is a pus.
That is, brethren, why God who knows everything and anticipates
everything, made the commandment against adultery, against a wanton life,
against non-marital bonding between people.
Especially youth is to be guarded and secluded from this evil as from a
venomous snake nest. Because there is no future for the nation in which youth
is committed to debauched and unlawful carnal life. That nation will have in
time ever more crippled, dumb-headed and incapable offspring, until at the end
it becomes a prey of a healthier nation that will come to conquer it.
Who can read the past of peoples and nations may learn well enough
how horrible is the punishment that reaches adulterous tribes and nations.
In the Holy Scripture there is a depiction of two cities, Sodom and
Gomorrah, in which there were not even ten righteous and chaste people. God,
therefore, let down the rain of fire with sulphur and both cities at once got
buried as into the grave. In Southern Italy even nowadays there is a place
called Pompeii, which once was a wealthy and glamorous city, and now is just a
sad ruin where people are coming to look and tremble in their soul with fear
and horror. In addition, the fate of Pompeii, in short, is as follows:
Wealth has brought that city to such an unbridled and lewd life, like
which the world probably did not remember. And the punishment of God came
unexpectedly. One day mountain Vesuvius, near Pompeii, broke out and rain of
fire with ash and sulphur began pouring over the city of Pompeii, with all its
inhabitants, until it was buried over the height of houses, as a dead man is
buried in a grave.
And to nations that are healthy in that way, God gives all the good
abundantly. All of you have heard that English nation is nowadays leading in
the world regarding wealth, order, law and enlightenment. Why God gave so
much good to that nation? For many reasons. Here is just one, and that is
moral purity, moral health of English youth. When in England young men are
enlisted for army service, there are not more than two among a hundred that
have had unallowed bond with woman. And Englishmen are always sifting
because there are even those two among a hundred, and they reck that there
will not be even two unchaste young men among a hundred. And deem,
brethren, what is it like in other nations! Deem what is it like in your own
nation! Deem by yourself and say: is Providence acting unruly when
to one nation, which is morally more neat than the other, it gives more health,
peace, wealth, happiness!
May God Almighty help you, brethren, not to go astray onto a slippery
and dangerous road of adultery. May your angel nurturer keep peace and love
at your home.

May Mother of God inspire your sons and daughters with her divine
virginity, so that their bodies and souls may not be smeared by sin, but clean
and bright, so that the Holy Spirit may dwell within them and fructify them only
with what is divine, what is of God. Amen.
The Eighth Commandment: You shall not steal.
And this means:
Do not make your brother wistful by not respecting his property. Do not
do what foxes and mice do, if you consider yourself better than foxes and mice.
A fox steals not knowing of laws on theft, and mouse bites under the barn not
knowing that it is a loss for someone. Both fox and mouse know only of their
advantage, but not of someone's disadvantage. It is not given to them to know,
but it is given to you. Therefore it is not forgiven to you, what is forgiven to fox
and mouse. Your advantage must always stay below the law, and your
advantage must not be a disadvantage to your brother.
Brethren, only ignorants go into a theft; that is, they do not know two
major issues in this life.
One issue is that a man cannot steal, and the other is that he cannot
benefit from stealing.
'How is that?', many tongues will ask and many ignorants will wonder.
This is how:
This universe is multiple-eyed universe. Actually, it has eyes all over, as a
plum tree is covered with white blossoms in spring. People can notice and
sense some of those eyes, but much more eyes people cannot notice or sense.
As an ant in the dust does not sense the eyes of sheep which graze over it, nor
the eyes of people looking air it, the same way people also do not sense
countless eyes of superior beings who are observing them on every step of
their lives. The sun is, at the first place, an eyed being, and stars are eyed
beings as well. yet beside the sun and the stars there are millions and millions
multi-eyed spirits who fixedly observe what is going on at every inch of the
earth. How than a thief can steal and remain unseen? How - and not to be
denounced? You cannot put a hand in your pocket without a million witnesses
seeing it. Even more you cannot put a hand in someone else's pocket without a
million of higher powers getting disturbed. The one, then, who knows it asserts
that a man cannot steal not being seen and denounced.
That's one issue.
And the other is that man cannot benefit from theft. So how can he
benefit if he is seen by that many eyes and will be denounced? And when
denounced, he will be ashamed and until his death he will bear a name The
Thief among his neighbours. There are thousand ways in which heavenly
powers denounce a thief.
By a river two fishermen once lived with their families. One of them had
many children and the other one was childless. In the evening both used to lay
nets in the river and then they would go to sleep. But by the time it began to
happen that in the net of the fisherman who had children there would be not
more than two or three fishes found, while in the net of the one who was

childless there were fishes in abundance, so he would take some of the fish
from his full net and give it to his neighbour. It went on occasionally for a whole
year. And that fisherman got rich selling fish and the other one could not even
obtain enough bread for his family.
- 'Why is it so?', a poor fisherman was wondering. But one night when he
was asleep the truth was revealed to him in a dream. A man appeared in his
dream, dressed in light as an angel of God and said to him:
- Get up right now, go to the river and you will see why you are poor. But
when you see it, stay restrained and calm.
So the fisherman jumped from his bed, made a sign of cross upon
himself, then he went to the river and saw his neighbour taking fish from his
net. His blood began to boil, but he remembered the warning he got in the
dream, so he restrained himself from anger and calmly said to thief fisherman:
- Neighbour, may I help you so that you don't writhe alone?
And the other one almost died of fear. When he got his posture again, he
knelt before his neighbour and said:
- Indeed, God revealed to you my misdeed. Woe to me the sinner!
And he gave to the poor fisherman a half of his whole property so that
the neighbour would not denounce him in front of the people and take him to
court.
In an Arabian town there was an unjust merchant named Ismail.
Whenever he weighed goods for his customers he would withhold a few drams.
And his wealth got multiplied largely. But his children were ill and he was
spending much money for doctors and medicaments. And the more he was
paying for treatment of his children, the more he was withholding from his
customers. But the more he was withholding from his customers, the more
ailing his children were. One day when Ismail was alone in his store, worrisome
for his children, it seemed to him that the heavens began to open. He gazed so
as to see what was happening there. And behold, angels were standing beside
a big bascule, on which they were measuring all the treasures that God was
giving to people. And the turn came for Ismail's family. Ismail saw that when
angels were giving health to his children, they were putting less in the pan of
health than the counterweight on the other side was weighing. Ismail got angry
and was about to shout unto angels but at that moment one of them turned to
him and said:
- The measure is right. Why are you angry? We are withholding from your
children just as much as you are withholding from your customers. And thus we
convey God's justice.
Ismail blenched as if he was stabbed with a knife. And he began to
repent bitterly over his grave sin. Since that moment Ismail began not only to
measure the goods rightly, but to give more over the measure. And his children
regained their health.
So then, brethren, the stolen thing ceaselessly reminds a man that it is
stolen and that it is not his own.
Once a young man stole a pocket-watch and carried it with him for a
month. After that he returned the watch to its owner and admitted his misdeed
saying:

- Whenever I took the watch from the pocket and looked into it, I heard it
telling me: I'm not yours, you are a thief.
The Lord knew that the theft would make two people unhappy: the one
who steals and the one from whom it is stolen. And so as people, sons of Him,
would not be unhappy, Everwise Lord, made this commandment:
- You shall not steal.
We are grateful to you, Lord God, for this commandment which we really
need for the sake of our peace and happiness.
Order, O Lord, your fire to burn our hands when they reach out to steal.
Order your snakes to curl around our legs when they set off towards a theft.
And before all, we pray to you, Almighty, purge our hearts from thievish desires
and our souls from thievish thoughts. Amen.
The Nineth Commandment: You shall not give false testimony against
your neighbor.
And this means:
Do not be false neither to yourself nor to someone else. When you talk
falsely about yourself, you yourself know that you are lying. When you talk
falsely about someone else, he knows that you talk falsely about him.
When you exalt yourself and boast in front of the people, they do not
know but you do know that you are giving false testimony about yourself. And
if you repeat that false testimony about yourself several times, by the passage
of time people will realize that you are lying to them. And if you ceaselessly
repeat a lie about yourself, all the people will know that you are telling a lie,
but then you will begin to believe in your own lie, and thus for you a lie will
become a truth. And you will get used to lie as a blind man gets used to
darkness.
And when you tell a lie about other man, he knows that you are lying. He
is one witness against you. And you yourself know that you are lying against
him. Thus you are the second witness against yourself. And God is the third
witness. So when you express a false testimony against your neighbour, know
that there are three witnesses against you: God, your neighbour and you. And
know that one of those three witnesses will denounce you in front of the whole
world.
Here is how God denounces your false testimony against your neighbour:
In a village there were two neighbours, Luke and Elijah. Luke began to
hate Elijah because Elijah was better and more orderly man than Luke who was
a drunkard and lazy. Driven by hatred, Luke went to court and accused Elijah
that he had spoken defamatory words about the emperor. Elijah was defending
himself as much as he could and at the end he turned to Luke and said:
- May God Himself denounce your lie against me.
But the court retained Elijah in custody and Luke went home. As he was
near to home, he heard wailing coming from his house. And his blood got all
frozen as he remembered Elijah's curse. As he entered the house, he saw a
horror. His old father had fallen into a hearth and got his eyes and the whole
face incinerated. Seeing it by his own eyes he became mute and he was not

able to speak or wail. Early tomorrow he went to the court and admitted that
he had falsely accused Elijah, so the court immediately released Elijah and
punished Luke for false testimony.
And so Luke was reached by two punishments for one sin: both God's and
man's.
And here is how a neighbour can denounce your false testimony:
In Nice once there was a butcher named Anatol. He got bribed by a
wealthy but dishonest merchant to falsely testify against his neighbour mile
that he, Anatol, had seen mile pouring gasoline and setting on fire the house
of that merchant. So Anatol witnessed at the court in that manner and swore
himself. mile got convicted. But when he finished his term, he made a pledge
that from then onwards he would live just to prove that Anatol had falsely
testified. mile was a diligent man and soon he earned a thousand napoleons.
He decided to give away all of thousand napoleons to make Anatol admit in
front of witnesses that he had falsely testified. So mile at first found people
who were acquaintances of Anatol and then they made it like this:
One evening they invited Anatol to dinner, got him heavily drunk and
then they told him that they needed a witness who would testify at the court
against some innkeeper, that he had been concealing some marauders. When
they explained the whole plan to Anatol, they put a thousand golden napoleons
on the table and asked him whether he could find a suitable person who would
testify at the court in such and such manner. Anatol's eyes began to glow as he
saw that much gold before him and he replied at once that he himself will
undertake to be a false witness. Then those people ostensibly expressed their
doubt that he was capable of doing it, not getting scarred and confused at the
court. Anatol fervently tried to assure them that he was able to make it. And
then they asked him if he ever tried and succeeded in something like that. Not
anticipating any trap, Anatol admitted that earlier, on one occasion he was
bribed, that he falsely testified against mile and that his testimony brought
mile to lag. Hearing that those people rose and went to mile. Tomorrow mile
raised a case at the court and Anatol got tried and convicted to hard lag. Thus
the iron justice of God reached perjurer Anatol and cleansed the honour and
dignity of honest mile.
And here is how a false witness himself denounces his crime:
In Fiume there were two good friends, ore and Nikola. Both were
single. And both fell in love with the same girl, a daughter of a poor craftsman,
Paolo Giovanni, who had seven unmarried daughters. The eldest was named
Flora. So, both ore and Nikola liked Flora. But orte was quicker and
proposed Flora, and invited his friend to be his best-man at the wedding. Nikola
was consumed by an envy so strong toward his friend so that he decided to
spoil it all, no matter how. One morning he began to dissuade ore from
tmarrying Flora because, he said, she is mischievous girl who was living an
arrant life with many of men. ore boggled as if stabbed with a knife and
began to assert that it could not be true. Then Nikola said that he himself had
an unclean relationship with Flora. ore believed it and went to Flora's home
and cancelled his wedding with her. Everything was soon known in the town.
The shame fell on the whole family of Flora's father. Her sisters began to

reproach her. And she, in order to justify herself, went to the sea and drowned.
After a year Nikola went to church on Maundy Thursday and heard a priest
calling believers to take the holy communion. 'But may not come forward', the
priest said, 'any of liars, thieves, perjurers, nor those who envied their
neighbour, nor those who smeared the honour of a innocent girl. Since it is
better for them to take a flame into themselves then the blood of clean and
innocent Jesus Christ.'
Upon hearing these words, Nikola trembled all over like a leaf on an
aspen. Right after the service he asked the priest to take his confession, as the
priest did. Nikola told everything and asked what he should do to save himself
from unclean conscience, which was biting at him like a hungry lioness. The
priest suggested various means but a repentance was at the first place. Beside
other, the priest told him that if he is honestly ashamed of his sin and is not
afraid of the punishment - to disclose his misdeed publicly, in the newspaper.
Nikola spent the whole of the next night awake, gathering all courage to do
tthe latter. Tomorrow he wrote everything he did, that is, how he smeared the
honest household of honest craftsman, and how he lied to his friend ore. At
the end he wrote this: 'I don't want to go to court. Since the court will not
convict me to death penalty, and I deserve death. Therefore I will punish
myself with death.' And the other day he hanged himself.
O Lord God The Righteous, how miserable are the people who do not
obey your holy commandment and do not restrain with an iron bridle their
sinful heart and their tongue. Help me, the sinner, O Lord, never to sin against
truth. Enlight me with your truth, Jesus the Son of God, and burn all the lie in
my heart as an orchardman burns caterpillars' nest on a fruit tree. Amen.
The Tenth Commandment: You shall not covet your neighbours house.
You shall not covet your neighbour's wife, or his male or female
servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.
And this means:
As soon as you have coveted, you have fallen into sin. The question is
now: will you blench swiftly from the downgrade onto which your desire
brought you, or you will tumble down further.
Desire is a seed of sin. A sinful deed is a harvest of sowed and grown
seed.
Notice the difference between this tenth commandment of God and
previous nine commandments. In previous nine commandments, God is
preventing you from performing sinful deeds, that is, from the harvest of sins.
And in this tenth commandment God descends down to the root of sin and
sinning, and prevents you from sinning even with your desires. Therefore this
commandment makes a bridge between Old and New Law of God, first given
by God through Moses and the other given by God through Lord Jesus Christ.
So when you read the New Testament of Christ, you will see that Christ does
not command to people any more not to kill with hands and not to commit
adultery by flesh and not to steal by hands and not to lie with tongue, but He
descends deep into man's soul and commands not to kill even by thought and

not to commit adultery even by desire and not to steal even by idea and not to
lie even in silence.
So, this tenth commandment makes a transition to the law of Christ
which is more spiritual, more exalted and harder than the law of Moses.
Do not covet anything that belongs to your neighbour. Because as soon
as you covet you are sowing the seed of evil in the heart, and the seeds will fall
and grow and spread and divaricate and push your arms towards sin, and your
legs and your eyes and your tongue and whole of your body. Because,
brethren, the body is the executive organ of the soul. Body executes the orders
that soul is issuing to it. What soul wishes is a must for body; and what soul
does not wish, body does not have to.
Which plant, brethren, grows most quickly? Indeed, desire planted in
man's heart grows more rapidly than a fern. Today it grows very little, tomorrow
it is twice as high, the day after tomorrow four times, the day after - sixteen
times, and so on.
If you coveted your neighbour's house today, tomorrow you will already
tailor a plan to take it from him; the day after tomorrow you will demand from
him to give it to you, and the day after you will seize it from him or set it on
fire.
If you looked with desire at his wife today, tomorrow you will think all the
time how to take her from your neighbour; the day after tomorrow you will
uncleanly bond with her, and the day after you will plot, together with her, to
murder your neighbour and usurp his wife.
If you coveted your neighbour's ox today, tomorrow you will want to have
it twice as much, the day after tomorrow - four times more and the day after
you will steal the ox from him. If he sues you for theft you will defend yourself
and swear at the court that the ox is yours.
So, out from sinful desire all sinful deeds grow and develop. And do
notice this too, that one who overruns this tenth commandment will overrun,
one by one, the other nine commandments.
Listen to an advice of mine: take care to fulfill this last God's
commandment and it will be easier for you to fulfill all others. And believe me
that one whose heart gets filled with ugly desires, darkens his soul so much
that he becomes incapable for faith in Lord God and for work in proper time
and for celebration of Sunday and for respect to his parents. Indeed, it is true
for all other commandments - if you overrun one, you will overrun all others.
One righteous man named Lovro once left his village and receded to the
mountain, where he lived in solitude. He was taking care to root out all desires
from his soul, apart from desire for God and God's kingdom. For several years
Lovro has been thinking only about God, praying to God and fasting. When he
returned to the village, all peasants marveled at Lovro's sainthood. And all
respected him as a true godly man. And in the same village there was a man
named Tadija, who envied Lovro and said to villagers that he can be the same
as Lovro. And Tadija receded to the mountain and relinquished himself to
prayer and suffering. But after a month Tadija went back to his village. And
when villagers asked him what was he doing in the month that passed, he
replied:

- I was murdering, stealing, lying, defaming people, boasting myself,

indulging in adultery, making arsons - in short, doing all possible
lawlessnesses.
- How come, since you were there alone?
- Yes, I was alone in flesh, but in heart and soul I was all the time in the
company of people, and what I could not do with arms and legs and tongue and
body of mine, I did with my heart and soul.
So then, brethren, a man can sin although he has detached himself from
people and ran away into solitude. Because if a vile man leaves the company of
people, his sinful desires, ugly soul and unclean thoughts did not leave him.
Therefore, brethren, let us pray to God to help us also fulfill this last of his
commandments and thus prepare ourselves to listen to, understand and accept
the New God's testament, that is the Law of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
O Lord God, Lord Great and Fearsome, Great in your deeds, and
Fearsome in your inevitable justice! Borrow us of your power, of your wisdom
and of your good will, so that we may also follow this great and holy
commandment of yours. Choke, O Lord, every sinful desire in our heart before
it grows up and starts to choke us.
O, Bishop of all worlds, fill our souls and bodies with your strength, since
with our strength we cannot make anything; and with your wisdom, since our
wisdom is folly and darkness; and your will, since our will without your will is
always evil. Come closer to us so that we could come closer to you. Lean
toward us so that we could lean toward you.
Plant, O Lord, your holy law into our hearts; plant it and graft it and
branch it and blossom it and fructify it. Since if you leave us by ourselves, we
cannot befriend with it.
Glory may be to you, The Only Lord, and honour may be to Moses, your
chosen one and prophet, through whom you gave us this clear and mighty law.
Help us, O Lord, to learn by heart this first Law, so that through it we
could prepare ouseelves for great and all-glorious law of Your Onlyborn Son,
Jesus Christ. May eternal be the glory of our Saviour, to whom together with
you and with life-making Holy Spirit may be eternal glory and praise, hymns
and bowing, from generation to generation, from century to century, till the
end of the world, till Fearsome judgment, till separation of unrepented sinners
from suffering righteous ones, till the victory over Satan, till the destruction of
his kingdom and till the glow of eternal kingdom over all kingdoms, known and
seen by eye and mind of man. Amen.
