CCTV units was a collaborative project of the institution
and the Parents and Homeroom Involvement (PHI). It
was conceptualized during
2014 and was spearheaded
by Atty. Jose Begil, current
president of the PHI.

The end of the year is nearing and that means Student Council elections have come to pass!

The High School Students of St Paul University Surigao, choose new members of the
Highschool coordinatin g team to serve the student body for the school year 20162017, following successful elections held last March 18,2016.
The election process
included an assembly
at the University gym

Avanci, where candidates gave their platforms and speeches,
immediately, followed
by an open forum,
with various students
addressing their concerns to the running
candidates. Right after,
voting occurred.

way to get involved in

HSSCT are required to
lead an active campus

HS Debate varsity dashes way on top


The Debate Varsity Team of Saint Paul University Surigao (SPUS) High School Department took part in the 8th Caraga Parliamentary Debate Championship Law Fortun Cup
with pride and honor as they represented
Surigao City last November 13-15, 2016 held
at Agusan National School, Butuan city.

Coached by Mr. Percious Bilazon and Ms.


Maretchen Vasquez, the debaters managed
to conquer the elimination rounds. Composing Team A are Ericka Lo, Maegan Dominique
Alcedo, and Lady Diana Litang with 2-2 standing, while Chary John Norico, Rian Carmella
Quiachon, and Moira Carmela Salumbides of
team B stood firm with 3-1. With impeccable
wits and unwavering confidence, Team B
rank 1st advancing to the Quarter Finals and
Semi-Finals

Among the 54 debate teams of both High


School and College Department from the
differentschools in CARAGA region, fellow
speakers Quiachon and Litang manuevered
