Hassan Basri received the B.E. (With Distinction) degree in civil engineering from the University of Tasmania, Hobart, TAS, Australia, in
1982, the M.Sc. (Eng.) (Hons.) degree in tropical
public health engineering and the Ph.D. degree in
environmental engineering from Leeds University,
Leeds, U.K., in 1988 and 1994, where he developed an expert system for the design of sanitary
landfills.
He is a Professor of Environmental Engineering with the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti
Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi, Malaysia. His research focus is in environmental
applications of smart engineering systems.
