If you are too busy to pray, you

are busier than God wants you to
be.
Wanda E. Brunstetter

Those who are totally satisfied with their work

will never reach their potential. The great
pianist, Paderewski, achieved tremendous
popularity in America. Yet, said Paderewski,
"There have been a few moments when I have
known complete satisfaction, but only a few. I
have rarely been free from the disturbing
realization that my playing might have been
better." The world considered Paderewski's
playing near perfection, but he remained unsatisfied and kept constantly at the job of
improving his talent.
If we are satisfied with our spiritual level, then
that will lead to complacency and it is a
dangerous disease that destroys our spiritual
growth. When we are complacent, we reduce
the time that we spend with the Lord, and when
we reduce our time with the Lord it affects our
relationship with Him and we lose the spiritual
strength that we need to live a Christian life. We
begin to live our Christian life on our own
strength and fall into sin again and again.
We also stop growing in faith. Rom 10:17 says
Faith comes from hearing the message and the
message is heard through the word of God.
Unless we read His Word, we will not grow in
our faith. When unexpected challenges needs
and difficulties strike us, we struggle to believe
that our God is all powerful and that there is no
problem that would be too big for Him. Because
we neither have the spiritual strength nor the
faith to face the situation.
So beware of complacency, even when everything goes well with you never stop spending
time with the Lord. Read His word, pray and
always grow in your relationship with Him.
Love,
Raja
