Our Identity (History)


The Company was founded in 1986, with
the aim to supply the market with asbestos
free textile products.
With over 25 years of experience, New
Componit has acquired a specific knowhow focused on the fire and high temperature-resistant materials. The first products
were automotive exhaust systems components, shortly followed by several kind of
products for thermal and acoustic insulation, especially for gas turbine exhaust system.
Today we manufacture textile and rubber
expansion joints, insulating blankets and
safety shields, which are used in the energy production process, offering to our
customers turn key solutions designed to
better meet their needs. Our team carefully
monitors each process step, from design
to installation, in order to deliver efficient,
reliable and accurate products. One of our
distinguishing features is our promptness
and flexibility.

design proposals. Up-to-date technologies for technical calculation and design, combined with a deep knowledge
of materials, enable reliable solutions
to be developed in the short-term.
Manufacturing
In the plant of Cirimido (Como), New
Componit manufactures its own products. We use planning and management system to monitor orders and
deliver excellent results, in total compliance with our Mission. The factory
adopts all the necessary safety systems to protect the workers and the

Our Research & Development Department is composed by experienced
professionals, motivated with curiosity for the new and the better, focused
on consistent innovation and improvement. Therefore New Componit assists the customers to formulate their
needs.
New Componit ability to innovate and
anticipate the market is based on renowned cooperation with Research &
Development Centers. The Acuflex
and Piperflex compensators development are relevant examples of this
ability.

TEXTILE EXPANSION JOINTS

Compensators apply to pipe and duct systems, conveying any kind of fluids. All these systems are often
subject to damages and failures caused by mechanical
stress, due to temperature and pressure variations, as
well as undesired vibrations and movements.
Compensators, or expansion joints, are flexible joints
designed to absorb the vibrations and to compensate
the movements between pipe sections, to which they
are connected.
The textile expansion joints are suitable for this purpose,
when the conveyed fluids are gaseous fluids, regardless
their temperature, and they can compensate wide movements.
The choice of the right textile joint depends on the operative conditions and the required performances: temperature, pressure, chemical composition, movements,
heat and noise reduction requirement, life span required, determine its stratification.

Minimum propagation of vibrations


Temperature up to 280C
This macro-family encompasses projects whose main
function is to reduce vibrations. The use of joints of the
Vibraflex series is recommended for low-temperature
applications in plant installations that call for the presence of machinery (ventilators, blowers, etc) whose
vibrations have to be kept within limits to avoid their
propagation along the ducts through the structures.
The compensators belonging to the Vibraflex series
have different construction characteristics, as a function
of the design data and the properties of the fluids they
will have to convey.
In many cases, these joints are also required to provide special soundproof services. For applications of this
kind, we have developed the joints of our Vibraflex
Sound serie, which combines the function of reducing
vibrations with that of soundproofing. Classical applications for these joints include gas turbine intake systems,
ventilation systems etc

Maximum application versatility

Enerflex series include a range of multi-layers joints suitable for pumping clean or moderately aggressive fluids
when temperature doesnt exceed 650 C.
They are very versatile and easily adaptable thanks to
their ability to compensate large movements; they apply
in the energy production field.

Powerflex series include a range of high resistance to
chemicals multi-layers joints; they are developed especially for the exhaust duct of combustion fumes of products that may contain components developing corrosive fluids.
Flue gas lines situated near large boilers are generally
subject to strong thermal stress, leading to a need for
the joints to compensate for quite significant physical
movements.
In such cases, that are very frequent, the positions where joints are installed are extremely hot, making the process of heat exchange towards the outside very difficult.
To overcome this problem, joints have to be designed
very carefully, so that the materials they are made of neither decay nor early ageing.

New Componit has accumulated years of experience in constructing compensators for desulphurisation
and denitrification plants marked by significant concentrations of acidic condensation or accumulations of
residues powder. The materials especially selected for
these applications by the company guarantee that our
compensators will maintain their chemical, physical and
mechanical properties for a very long time.
Chemflex series products belong to the single-layer
type family of joints, consisting of fluorine elastomer or
polymer supported on a fabric or a wire mesh with high
mechanical resistance, which ensure a very high chemical resistance and excellent pressure tightness.

These are compensators of the latest generation, made
using technical fabrics based on glass fibers and fluoropolymers, multi-layered with cast film made of PTFE. In
other words, mechanically highly robust joints, chemically totally inert, even in extremely heavy conditions.
Textile joints belonging to Turboflex series have been
studied for gas turbine exhaust pipes and combined
cycles applications; they are carefully designed for each
individual application. Their essential feature is to have
the highest resistance to pulsations and to the erosive phenomena related to the turbulence and the gases
high speed.

Compensators for applications in the energy generation
field, suitable for very high-temperature flue gas ducts.
These joints were developed especially for applications
such incinerator furnaces in the sector of solid urban
waste treatment plant and for catalytic cracking furnaces in the petrochemical industry. They are frequently
applied in installations downstream of post-combustion
units.
Petroflex manufacturing is realized using technical fabrics and particular metal/PTFE foils in order to guarantee
excellent performances in highly aggressive environment, which affects the reliability and duration of the
external joint parts.

Naviflex expansion joints have been developed and engineered for fast ship turbo-engines; they combine superior reliability and unique performances.
Navyflex series consist of a range of multilayer joints suitable for flue gas turbines. They are able to guarantee
an optimum seal to pressure and an exceptional noise
reduction, mandatory features for example on military
ships.
All Navyflex expansion joints have been tested by qualified laboratories and the results are provable.

Its a type of joint studied and engineered for wall cross
in HRSG.
They have a high capacity to compensate very large
movements, both axial and lateral at the same time;
they have unique thermal features and very good gas
tightness. Piperflex can be advantageously applied to
replace metal joints for the same applications.

Safety in the workplace requires more and more rigid preventive measures. Our Chem-Shields protect people and
properties from dangerous liquid sprayouts, due to pipe
connection gaskets break. Similarly, they are applied to
protect instrument components from attacks due to external elements. Chem-Shields are flexible, absorbing jackets, easily adjusted to the shape of pipe connections
or other objects to be coated, forming a protective waterproof barrier. They are not intended to prevent leakages,
but to control, temporarily deviate and drip them to the
ground.
Chem-Shields are protections for the safety and wellness
of the personnel, they contribute to realize a significant
reduction of industrial and social costs related to injuries
at work, and consequent medical cares.
Chem-Shields are made with different special materials,
resistant to various chemical agents, according to the fluid
conveyed inside the piping and the operating conditions.
They have different kinds of closure, according to the needs, to ease the installation and can be equipped with leakage indicator and drainage pipe.

New Componit, together with its technical staff, can make on site

the item to be insulated, draft design and final 3D drawings, interfacing advanced computerized automatic cutting systems, delivering
absolute dimensional accuracy.

PYROPROOF PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION BLANKETS


New Componit offers a particular range of preformed flexible blankets,
which is an effective passive fire protection systems.
Pyroproof is designed to protect actuators and valves, flanges and cable trays, air tanks and any other kind of critical or safety equipments
during an established period of time.
Pyroproofs aim is to guarantee the safety of petrochemical and offshore plants.

SERVICE
In order to assure their maximum effectiveness, the expansion joints and insulation blankets must be installed
very accurately.
New Componit is aware that the big industrial plants
tend to outsource the installation activities, therefore our
organization provides a support service, composed of
various professional teams, ready to promptly reach any
site in the world. In addition to the normal installation activities, our specialists can also perform all the complementary activities, such as: structural works, welding and
thermography analysis.
Accidental shocks, unexpected harsh operational conditions, previous installation mistake, can cause damages
to the joints or thermal insulation blankets, with consequent undesirable down time. In some cases, repair the
damaged product should be enough, avoiding so its total
replacement.
New Componit offers a servicing/maintenance service
which allows to minimize the expensive production plant
downtime.
