Explain to students the fish worksheet
During the fish worksheet we will assess independent practice.
The fish worksheet, is made up of words that end with at and other words that do not
end with at. Student will color all the words that end with at. This work will be done
independently.
7. Explain to students the centers of the day (eggs, write the room, worksheet). Students will
be working in groups of 4 -5. Each group will have approximately 5 minutes to work on
their task.
Egg centerIn the egg center, students will have six eggs. Each Easter egg has the letters S, R,
H, F, M, B printed on one side of the egg. On the other side they have at. Inside
the egg there are small pictures: rat, hat, bat, sat, mat, fat. Once the student has

taken the pictures out, the student will need to close the egg. The student needs to
match the word on the egg with the picture. The egg can be rotated to make all the
words that end with at.
Write the roomAt this center, the student will get a clipboard, a pencil and a writing sheet.
Throughout the room there have been words posted on the walls (fat, hat, mat,
bat, sat, rat). The student along with their partners need to walk around the room.
While they are walking they need to read the words on the walls and write them
on the writing paper provided.
Worksheet centerAt the worksheet center, there would be scissors, crayons and glue provided along
with a worksheet. In this work sheet, the students need to color, cut and glue. The
worksheet has images of things that end with at and the words. The student
needs to match the name and the picture. The student will be practicing the words
that end with at.

explained to the student. The student is allowed to go to the center of their choice, no
more than 5 students at each center.

10. Five minutes before it is time to finish class, students will hear timer. Once timer goes
off, the student knows it is time to clean up.
11. Hand out homework to students.
12. When classroom cleaned, the student is allowed to get their folder and backpacks ready to
go home.
13. Once students are ready to go, we can hand out snacks for the day.
