Switch the grounding


isolator to OPEN position
Press the MAIN CIRCUIT
ONLINE button on the
control section door of
the ACS1000

Starting ACS 1000

Opening / Closing the Ground Switch: The yellow light


Ground switch unlocked must be ON.
Opening the grounding switch: it has to move easily from closed
to open position. (and vice-versa), and to stay in vertical position.

If it does not move easily or if it has the


tendency to turn back, check the proper
closing of the doors of all the MV
cabinets.
If it refuses to move even if the yellow
light Ground switch unlocked is ON,
there might be a problem with the
solenoid or the blocking pin.

Charging the DC Link:

n The CDP312 control panel


displays CHARGING.
Charging of the DC Link
lasts a few seconds

n The ACS1000 is now

After a few seconds the
motor speed is ramped up
to the reference speed
The display now indicates
that the motor is running

the CDP312 control panel
The ACS1000 stops
following the preset stop
function
The MCB remains closed

When zero speed is


reached the display
shows READY TO START

Press the main circuit


OFFLINE button on the
control section door
MCB opens and the DC
Link start to discharge
Wait approx. 5 minutes
until DC Link capacitors
are discharged to a safe
level and the light GND.ISOLATOR UNLOCKED is
on
