PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Client is currently looking to expand its Online Banking offering in Switzerland by
adding more features to their existing Web based banking application. This
application facilitates their private banking customers to perform typical retain
banking transactions with the help of this Online
banking application.
Additionally, Client related News, Customer support, Trading etc. Online banking
project is further divided into Release
Management and CR Enhancement.
CLIENT DESCRIPTION:
Client is a leading global financial services company, offering clients financial
advice in all aspects of investment banking, private banking and asset
management. Client provides companies, institutional clients and high-net-worth
private clients worldwide, as well as retail clients in Switzerland, with advisory
services, comprehensive solutions, and excellent financial products. Client have
their headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE PROJECT:
Prabal is working as a Quality Analyst.
Key activities performed include:
Interaction with Client: Coordinating with clients, seeking their expectations
and taking care of their expectation from offshore.
Functional Review of Automation Scripts: During migration of Automation
QTP scripts to Selenium provided assistance to the automation team in analyzing
the Test cases and providing them with the clarification required and
transactional data needed and also necessary application knowledge. At the
same time the scripts were also reviewed taking into consideration all functional
aspects being covered.
Leading the test team: Making sure that all the tasks allocated to offshore be
assigned to the right resources, are completed as per agreed timelines & are
reviewed before delivering to onsite team.
Knowledge Transition: Knowledge gathering form onsite coordinator and
requirement engineers, also involved in Knowledge transfer to new member
joining the project.
Onsite/Offshore Coordinator: Coordinating between the onsite & offshore
teams in terms of communication and management of the deliverables.

Estimation: Preparing the effort estimation for new change requests.

Requirement Analysis: Understanding the requirements of the project using
the Use Cases and other supplementary documents provided by client and
identifying different scenarios.
Implementation
of Change
Requests: Analysis, Feasibility study,
Implementation of the change in requirements.
Test Case design: Designing new Test Cases & modifying the existing test cases
based on the finalized requirements & identified scenarios.
Test Data Management: Analyzing and mapping the test data to different test
cases. Also the transactional data was created by executing trade orders on Host
and making payments.
Regression + Change Request Testing: Testing the regression tests in every
release & also verifying & validating that the change requests are correctly
implemented in the deployed application.
Reporting: Preparation of different reports like Daily Status Report, Weekly
Status Report, Test Summary Report, etc.
Defect Reporting + Management: Logging defects in QC & managing the
defect life-cycle along with the reporting of defect summary to the stakeholders
when required.
Issue Tracking and Reporting: Tracking the issues faced by the offshore team
& reporting them to the onsite team & getting them resolved in time.
Audits: Conducting Start-up / monthly / Closure Audits for every release in order
to comply with the CMMi processes.
Test Closure activities: Performing the Test Closure activities at the end of
every release.
Trainings: Conducting training of new team members.
