Reflections for letter (D)

At 8:40 I teach an English lesson, and its for the letter (D). I prepare many activities for circle
time and for grouping time. The nice thing happening in that day is my MCT coming from a
college. Also, my MST was absent, so I dont care because I know how to control my classroom
and I have a lot of strategies to teach. I think the perfect thing I made is my activity because I
make an activity for three level and in the first activity I let the medium group use the plastic
scissors, and I let them develop their fine motor skills when they cut the picture. According to
Reggio said children could learn through a multi-sensory approach is touching, seeing, hearing,
moving, speaking and listening (Spielgaben, 2013). So, I like this activity, and my MST tells me
that is a first time that her students hold the scissors I observe them, and they dont know how to
hold it. Also, they develop their language when they say the name of the picture and stick it in a
letter (D) and this ward starts with a letter (D). According to Frobel said that philosophy of
education was based on four major principles: free self-expression, creativity, social participation
and motor expression ("Friedrich Froebel," 2016). So, I let the student develop their physical
domains when they cut the paper and stick in a letter (D). Also, they are sharing their resources,
so they develop their social domains. Moreover, I need to improve myself in transition because I
want to use a lot of songs to my make transitions fun. So, I want to explain to a student in the
clearly way how they can make the transition. By telling them steps of transitions such as when I
say line up you should for them to make two line one for girls and another for boys. So, they
develop their language by knowing the meaning of line up. And they are four years, and they
dont know the important of transition. Also, I divided my time during 40 minutes by letting
them sit on the carpet only 15 minutes. After that, I let them sit in the group to do the activity.
Also, I speak with all student English and most of them dont know English because they are
local so I use a simple word to let them develop their language. Also, I teach them to respect
their friends when they speak, and I give them a choice to choose the color of scissors they want
to the paper. Also, the low level put the clay around the letter(D), so I let his choose favorite
color of clay. According to Montessori Teachers show respect for children when they help
them do things and learn for themselves so when children have choices, they can develop the
skills and abilities necessary for effective learning autonomy, and positive self-esteem.''
(Morrison, 2013). Also, I think I have discipline in my classroom because when I ask questions I
let the children sing the song (teacher, teacher lets me try) so they be quiet and they are waiting
for me to choose one of them to answer the questions. Also, I think discipline is very important
because it makes children organized and respect each other. Also, when the student doesnt listen
to teachers roles, the teacher gives them an assertive message by seeing them or gives them the
eye. But I hate that teacher shout for student all the time. Moreover, I achieved my objective
because the children at the end of the lesson they identify the letter (D) and some of them know
how to write a letter (D) and they know the sound of the letter (D).

My activity:

I put sound for letter (D) and its for Jack Hartmann.
And this song my MST advise me to it because it teaches
children how to write capital letter and small letter. Also,
it teaches them the word start with letter (D).

I let the student to develop their physical

domains by cutting the paper by plastic
scissors.
(Activity for high level)

I let the student to sit in circle time at first of

lesson to review with them and teaches them
the new letter.

Activity for low level, so I let them

to put the clay in letter (D).
