Hello, good afternoon and welcome once more to our program, on this occasion we will

continue with our special guests talking about the breast self-exam, its importance and
how to realize it. Put a lot of attention.
HOW SHOULD YOU DO THIS? PALPATION

Its aim is to detect "lumps" or lumps in the breast that may arise. There are two
basic ways to do it:
1. Lying With a pillow or cushion under your right shoulder, put his right hand
under his head and the pads of the three middle fingers of his left hand
together, make the following probing paying special attention to the breast
area that lies between the nipple and the armpit:

concentric or spiral movements around the breast, pressing gently but firmly with
the fingertips and making circular movements in each palpated point, from the
periphery to the nipple and the sense of clockwise.

Vertical movements by moving the hand up and down covering the entire breast.
After performing movements quadrants, in which the hand moves from the nipple
to the periphery of the breast and back to cover it completely.

Probing corresponding to the breast being examined armpit. To do this move your
hand along the entire armpit with circular hand movements in each position for
lumps or masses, placing more pressure on palpation of the breast

Do not squeeze your nipple. Some women always notice a loss of clear liquid milk
or if pressed. If the liquid stain your pajamas or underwear, if blood or odorless,
visit your doctor immediately.
2. In the shower breast self-examination can be carried out in the shower by
taking advantage of the hands enjabonadas and its easy gliding on the skin.
Perform the same movements and palpaciones of the review in the supine
position described in the previous point, lifting the right arm and examining
the right breast, ending with the examination of the left breast
