* Teacher introduces a song, Itsy Bitsy Spider to the class. The
lyrics of the song are printed in tarpapel. Pupils will sing and do the action of
the song.

2. EXPLORATION (Identifying and developing concepts, processes,


and skills).
Teacher asks the pupils to answer some questions. Pupils share their
answer with their seatmates and classmates.
Do you like to hear the story of Si Pilong Patago-tago again?
Which part of the story did you like best?
Do you like to play hide and seek?
Who do you usually play with?
3. EXPLANATION (Modeling for pupils)
* Teacher divides the class into six groups. Each group does a different
activity related to the story. Pupils work with their group mates to show a
specific event in the story. They do it through dramatization or role playing.
4. ELABORATION
* Class, Today we are going to do group activity. I will divide you into 6
groups. Each group will do different activity.
GROUP 1 will do a role play. They will act out the event in the
story when Mother was looking for Pilo and when Pilo said he is
behind the post.

GROUP 2 Will dramatize two events in the story. They will


dramatize the events when Father was looking for Pilo, and Pilo
said he was on the top of the cabinet.

GROUP 3 Will show an event of the story through pantomime.


They will show the events of the story when Ate Bebeng and Kuya
Rey were looking for Pilo.

GROUP 4 Will also do a role playing. They will show the event of
GROUP 5 They will dramatize the event they like most in the story.
Mother in the story was looking for Pilo, because they were going
to buy Pilos pants.

5. EVALUATION
Directions: Teacher will post another story. There will be group of five and
they will dramatize the event in the story as to how they understand it.
(Story can be found in English Lesson Guide 2 pages 275-276 The Pixies &
Lazy Housewife)
6. Homework
Teacher asks the pupils to draw places in their homes or neighborhood
where they think is the best to hide and draw your picture in your notebooks.

did not think she would live. She was a very small baby of four and a
half pounds.
