to provide me
with the most
reliable, relevant
resources.
Each year, with the guidance of sixty members of Living Beyond Breast Cancers medical advisory
committee which is comprised of some of the most respected health professionals in the world, LBBC
staff develop and implement services for thousands of women of all ages who are newly diagnosed, in
treatment, managing metastatic breast cancer or living long-term with a history of the disease. We work
closely to analyze the evolving landscape of breast cancer to gain the most current information and pass
it on in an understandable and compassionate voice.
Each year, the combined philanthropy of hundreds of individuals along with a handful of generous
corporations and foundations donate millions of dollars to LBBC to continue our mission. We depend on
them every year to provide LBBC with the necessary funding to create and expand programs and resources
and to ensure that the majority of these organizational services are available for free so that no one is
denied access because of an inability to pay.
Each year, thousands of women discover these programs and resources as they navigate life after
diagnosis. They tell us the things they like most about them is the care weve invested in their development, their accessibility and that they convey an understanding that while many women share similar
circumstances, each womans situation is unique. They appreciate that we take the time to listen to what
they need and use these insights in the ongoing improvement of everything LBBC has to offer.
Every persons story of how and why they first connected with LBBC is different but the reason they
support us remains the same.
Trust.
On behalf of the staff and volunteer leadership at Living Beyond Breast Cancer, thank you.
Sincerely,
Byron Hewett
