Preamble
The AB-Political Science Students Organization, with the inspiration and guidance of
the Almighty God, desires to institute a collegial organization that promotes the best
interest of its members, seeks avenues for the enhancement and development of the
members potentials and skills, and allows them to engage and reflect to the everchanging condition of the society for the benefits of the body politic.
Article I
Name and Domicile of the Organization

All duly enrolled Bachelor of Arts in Political Science students are entitled
and encouraged to join the organization.
Membership and Renewal fees are not mandatory but fall on the
prerogative and collegial decision of the organization.
Membership shall be terminated automatically upon transfer or shift of
course.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Members

Uphold this Charter, to cooperate with and support all programs, and
policies that may be adopted by the organization.
Exert his/her best to develop his/her potentials for the services that
he/she may become an asset to the organization.
Uphold the academic integrity of the College of Maasin, and endeavor to
achieve academic excellence and abide by the rules and regulations
governing his/her academic responsibilities and moral integrity.
Participate actively in civic affairs and in the performance of his/her
duties, act with justice, give everyone his/her dues, and observe honesty
and good faith.
Members should and must exercise his/her right to vote and to be elected.
Article IV
The Governing Commission

The Governing Commission shall be composed of the Premier, VicePremier, General Secretary and General Treasurer.
The Premier of the Governing Commission shall act as the Chief Executive
Officer and shall have the following duties:
a. Convene and preside over all meetings of the organization;
b. Sign all resolutions, communications and papers of the Governing
Commission;
c. Represent the organization on occasions and events, in and out of the
campus, where representation is necessary;
d. Sign all requisitions and disbursements of the organizational funds as
endorsed by the General Treasurer;
e. Certify the correctness of the minutes of the meetings and other
records in his custody; and
f. Do and perform any lawful act to promote and uphold the best interest
of the organization and its members.
The Vice-Premier of the Governing Commission shall have the following
duties:
a. Assist the Premier in any administrative task;
b. Assume duties and responsibilities of the Premier in the absence or
temporary disability or incapacity of the latter; and
c. Exercise other duties delegated to him/her by the Premier.
The General Secretary of the Governing Commission shall have the
following duties:
a. Assist the Premier in any affair of the Commission as pertaining to
his/her office;

All elected officers shall take office upon their oath and shall continue
holding office until the proclamation of the newly elected set of officers for
the incoming year, unless expelled or otherwise disqualified.

The appointed adviser shall serve for one academic year and
reappointment of adviser generally falls on the discretion of the Dean of
the Student Development and Services of the College of Maasin.

If, for any reason or reasons, any part of this Charter shall be held to be
unconstitutional or invalid, other parts hereof which are not affected
thereby shall continue to be in full force and effect.
