It was October 30, 2016 when we decided to go to an abandoned hospital where people
would say many weird and unknown stuff that would occur in this hospital. People would claim
that teenagers would enter the hospital and moments later come out running super fast like if
they're running away from somebody. This hospital has been abandoned for about a decade.
Our team arrived that night around 9pm to the hospital and we walked around the hospital
trying to find a way in and the only way to enter was to climb the gate. We had to secretly climb
and enter the hospital because it was a restricted area. When we managed to pass through the
gates, we entered to the hospital it was quiet and it was all full off tossed chairs, papers, and
doors opened like if there was somebody there. We all had our flashlights and we all stuck
together in case somebody was in the building or something would hurt us. We walked through
hallways . The rooms in the hallway would have desks upside down and ceilings ripping off and
the more rooms we would pass by it kept getting scarier until we were about to enter this room
at the end of the hall. We all got quiet and saw 4 bones on the floor, they were all bloody.
When we saw these bones we quickly took a picture of it and put them on a plastic bag . We
quickly called to report the findings of these bones. When we called, the investigators that
took action quickly and investigated the area. They claimed that there was nothing else. We
handed them the bag with the bones and they interviewed us trying to find out how the bones
were when we saw them. We showed them the picture.
They told us that the bones would be sent to this lab where the bones were going to be
analyzed. After a day or two, we got our results about the 4 bones which were taken to the lab
the bones were Cranium , Humerus , Femur and the Pelvis , as a team we were concerned
about these bones which we started to question and figure out ways to identify these bones.
We decided to look at the Skull which we examined by rubbing fingers to the Upper edge of
the eye orbit to know if it was sharp or blunt. Then, after that we had measure the nasal cavity
height using calipers by placing one end of the calipers on the nasion and the other on the nasal

spine, we did measurements of the Nasal Width, Height, Index. However, we notice that the
Femur and the Humerus were the same bones but had different measurements.
According to our evidence, we have concluded that our victim is a female. In the area of
the pelvis, the victims sub pubic angle is 75 degrees and the pelvic cavity shape is circular
which are features of a woman. In the skull features, the mandible shape is a v-shape, its upper
eye orbit is sharp, and the frontal bone is low and slanting which are features of a female. Also,
the femur length is below 405 mm and humerus length is below 305 mm which are also
features of a woman. Weve also concluded that our victim is 20-25 years old because the ilium,
ischium, and pubis bones are mostly joined , but theres still some lines dividing them so its not
fully united which means its in the stage before being fully grown which is the age range of
20-25. We also know that her race is that of a caucasian because she has a prominent nasal
spine and a sharp ridge in her nasal silling which indicates that her skull belongs to a white
person. Additionally, weve found that her height range is 4 feet 9 inches to 5 feet using the
femur length and the regression formula.
Clearly, According to our observations and analyzations our victim is a 20-25 year
caucasian female. Her height is 4 foot 9 to 5 feet due to team member using the regression
formula. I recommend using another formula for stature. We lose about 1cm of height every
decade after maturity which is 30 years of age. This is the formula 0.05566 (Femur Max L +
Tibia L) + 21.64 = Estimated stature +/- 2.5
Maximum length of the femur (507 mm) and tibia (410 mm):
0.05566 (507 + 410) + 21.64 = 72.68 +/- 2.5 (186 cm +/- 6.35 cm)

This is used for European males but since we know our victim is caucasian using this formula we
wouldve known she is definitely not male and would of made out analyzations more valid.
There is a 90% chance that the victim would have a stature within this range and this would be
important to add to our procedure.
