Undertaking for IGCSE/ AS/ A Level Examinations

level Examinations in May/ June 2017 .
I am fully aware of the rules and regulations of the University of Cambridge
Examinations.
I would always abide by the rules and regulations of the board and will not
involve in any case of malpractice.
I am fully aware of the various examples of malpractice and its
consequences imposed on the students.
If identified by the center or board in any case of suspected malpractice, we
will be responsible for the same.

MALPRACTICE

The following are examples of malpractice by candidates.


The list is not exhaustive and CIE or Edexcel may consider other instances
of malpractice at their discretion:
1. Misuse of examination material
2. Behaving in such a way as to undermine the integrity of the
examination
3. Disruptive behavior in the examination room (including the use of
offensive language)
4. Bringing unauthorized material into the examination room (for
example, notes, study guides and personal organizers, own blank
paper, calculators, dictionaries (when prohibited), mobile phones or
other electronic devices)
5. Bringing into the examination room notes in the wrong format (when
notes are permitted), or incorrectly annotated texts (in open book
examinations)
6. Obtaining, receiving, exchanging or passing on information which
could be examination-related (or attempting to) by any means before
the end of the exam
7. Impersonation; pretending to be someone else, or arranging for
another person to take ones place in an examination
8. The inclusion of inappropriate, offensive or obscene material in scripts
or coursework
9. Copying from another candidate (including the misuse of ICT to do so)
10.
Collusion; working collaboratively with other candidates
11.
Plagiarism; the failure to acknowledge sources properly and/or
the submission of another persons work as if it were the candidates
own
12.
Theft of anothers work
13.
The deliberate destruction of anothers work
14.
The alteration of any results document, including certificates
15.
Failure to abide by the instructions of an invigilator
16.
Failure to abide by the conditions of supervision designed to
maintain the security of the examinations
17.
Any attempt to remove or reveal the content of the examination
before the Key Time for the exam has passed or the examination has
concluded, whichever is later.
CIE PENALTIES
1. Issue a warning
2. Deduct marks or award no marks for a component
3. Disqualify candidates from the subject in which the malpractice took
place (in serious cases the disqualification may extend to all subjects
taken in a series)
4. Ban a candidate from entering Cambridge examinations for
up to five years

5. Inform other examining bodies of the details of the case and the
action taken.
6. Inform the police in serious cases involving theft, impersonation or
the falsification of documents.
7. We may impose other penalties at our discretion.
8. Even if you or your candidates have breached the regulations
inadvertently we may decide
that the circumstances are such that the award of an accurate
grade is not possible.
9. We will inform the Head of Centre of decisions in writing as soon as
possible after decisions are made. The Head of Centre must
communicate the outcome to the individuals concerned.
10.
We will not consider any requests for post-result services for
any syllabus component(s) for which malpractice has been confirmed.
