The Meatrix I
1. What is The Meatrix? The lie we tell ourselves about where our food comes from
2. What is a factory farm? A factory farm is where most eggs, milk, and meat come from.
3. What happens to the animals on a factory farm? Animals are packed as closely together as possible
to maximize profit
4. Why are the animals given antibiotics? What is the problem with this? They get really sick easily; it
causes resistance
5. What is happening to family farms? Theyre disappearing, and being replaced with factory farms.
The Meatrix II: Revolting
1. What has happened in regards to sustainable eating in the past few years? People are starting to
choose better products
2. What happens to cows in dairy factories? Theyre kept in tight quarters and mistreated for profit
3. What is rBGH? Why is it given to cows? Its an artificial growth hormone to make them produce
more milk
4. What happens to the calves? Theyre taken from their mothers and fed by stuff made in part from
cows blood
5. What can be caused by this? Mad cow disease
