The Meatrix I
1. What is The Meatrix?
The story we tell ourselves where meat comes from.
2. What is a factory farm?
Where most meat milk and eggs come from. Animals are put in close quarters and then cause
many diseases between these animals.
3. What happens to the animals on a factory farm?
They get sick and cause pollution in our food.
4. Why are the animals given antibiotics? What is the problem with this
Because they are constantly around bacteria and they want them to stay alive. The amount of
antibiotics causes the disease to become resistant to the antibiotics.
5. What is happening to family farms?
They are becoming outcompeted.
The Meatrix II: Revolting
1. What has happened in regards to sustainable eating in the past few years?
It has pretty much disappeared and people are becoming more aware
2. What happens to cows in dairy factories?
Spend their entire lives in the factory, disease, tails cutoff.
3. What is RBGH? Why is it given to cows?
Artificial growth hormones to make them produce more milk and grow larger for slaughter.
4. What happens to the calves?
Separated from others at birth being fed milk with cow blood.
5. What can be caused by this?
Mad cow disease,
