Each Math lesson will take us one to two school days. Please remember to check
Math notebooks for notes on each section. These can help understand how and why
we have changed the way we do some math!!
Fractions are in our future. We will be using manipulatives and doing hands-on work
to help us understand these darn fractions. But we will succeed! Students will be
required to correct homework and classwork as to help them correct those
mistakes. We will be working more in small groups to ensure mastery of fractions.
Extra help is available after school; I just need a little notice.
In other news, 4th grade will be completing a science poster or powerpoint on the
adaptations of animals. Rubrics and expectations will be sent home the first week
of 2nd quarter.
Look forward to a couple field trips in the near future. I am in touch with Lake
Catherine trying to nail down a date for a trip there. They offer a great program
that directly connects to our animal adaptation project!

I am looking forward to continuing a great year!!
