Actually, for the information of everybody and for the record
it is not only now na mayroon tayong mahuhusay na estudyante
na nasa top ten for nursing marami na sila at di lamang sa
nursing, patina rin sa accounting, education, engineering and
other courses offered in our universitytalagang lahi tayo ng mga
pantas at batang bayani who continuously giving pride and honor
to the university. Thus, making these achievements a bench
marked towards excellence in your chosen career.
Nowit is really a Great Challenge to all of you Nursing
Students and most especially to our clinical instructors who are
here for another milestones of giving opportunities to this new
batch of nurses to embrace the challenges and they will be facing
once they step forward to the next level of their challenging
careers.

And, yes, it can never be denied, our clinical instructors in the

college of nursing have truly dedicated their time and efforts in
moulding you to become a better individuals and professional
nurses who are committed to serve others as you all face daily
challenges of life.

And now with much joy in everyones hearts, you are in this hall
for the caps and pins ceremony and soon, marching on for
graduation, come May or June 2017. You consider yourselves
survivors because until this point of time, you have proven
yourselves hardworking and determined to overcome every
storm of life as you move on to be a professional nurse.
Therefore, with competence, you can then deliver health care
both to sick and well individuals. Thus, you should be very proud
to say that you can be globally competitive to fill in the need for
nurses in the local and international market.
However, before you overwhelmed with your chosen vocation
remember this .Professional nurses are expected to
demonstrate a certain degree of kindness, special attainment,
self-sacrifice and the right attitude in their dealings. Each nurse
needs to understand the responsibilities and concerns that are
integral to the nursing profession. Working with a team of health
care professionals to provide care for patients in need requires a
discipline and internal and external composure that stays steady
throughout the day.
The core values that are expected and appreciated in nurses are
responsibility, honesty, integrity, belief in human dignity, patient
equality, and the desire to prevent and alleviate suffering. A
nurses professionalism is judged based on personal behaviors,
appearance, presentation, and so on.

Sabi nga sa isang capping ceremony conducted in 1938, a

speaker invoked patriotism with these inspirational words and I
quote:
The nurse's cap means to you what the soldier's uniform means
to him. When this cap is pinned on your head, it means you have
become a member of one of the noblest professions and have
subscribed to its ideals of service. You are no longer merely an
individual responsible for her own acts, you are part of the
nursing profession.
Again, my congratulations to each and everyone. Good Luck and
God Bless You All!
