The CL channel (M bits) is a 4-kbit/s pipe designed to convey maintenance information over the local loop.
This channel comprises:
- the EOC commands (Embedded Operations Channel) used by the LT to send operation commands
to the NT1 (Loopback request, etc.),
- a CRC information for each multi-frame sent,
- other information such as Activation and Deactivation command and indications
(ACT, SAI, DEA...), FEBE, etc.
