Honorable Head of Perinatology Department,

Portugal
Dear Sir or Madam,
Based on the offering of AECS-IFMSA Professional Exchange Program, I am so
intending to submit and participate in this program.
Below is my brief identity:
name

: Dearaini

place, date of birth

: Jakarta, June 4th 1993

program / major : Clinical Program of Medical Education

Faculty of Medicine, University of Padjadjaran,
Indonesia.

I have gained some experiences from medical studies in Indonesia, yet

I believe its not enough to achieve my goal to be a great doctor. As far as
Im concerned, the more experience I get, the more confident and skills I will
get, as well as I will be able to compare the medical diagnostic tools and
methods used in field between my country and in Portugal.
I intend to learn and develop my basic science and skill of medical
practice with this program in Portugal, one of the best place to learn science
and technology in the world. I have gotten enough basic science and skill of
perinatology examination in my faculty. The thing that I havent get enough
to build my confident and satisfaction is the experience. I believe that many
experiences will give me many lessons about helping and handling patient

with neonates and perinatal problem. So, I wonder to train myself more in
knowing the case of perinatology and its handling in Your department.

Ever since I was little, I always knew I wanted to be a doctor, especially

the one who takes care of other children. Pediatrics and Perinatology
departments have always keep me intrigued. There are a lot to learn from
head to toe and I think these departments hold the biggest challenge in
medical world because of the possibility of biased examination and mostly
because of the ethical value to patients. Currently, the number of
neonatologist is very small in Indonesia despite the fact that one of the main
global problems is mortality of the newborn. This have become a challenge
for Indonesian health students, workers, and governments to progressively
improve our national health status.
Joining the program will make me find many resource persons from
different country for sharing issues and building mutual network among
health care workers in global scale. I believe that cooperating each other is
better than moving forward alone.
Actually, there are many motivations that prompted me to follow this
program, but I cant mention it all. I think I have represented my great desire
as Indonesian delegation to join Perinatology Department as my place to add
my perinatology knowledge and skills.
Likewise, thank you for this opportunity and attention. Hopefully this
letter can be Your consideration to receive me as Your student. Obrigado.

Sincerely yours,

(Dearaini)
