Design of imaginative forms to develop the creativity in terms of built form. Design with
application of principles and theory of architectural design and philosophies of contemporary
architects. The attempt is towards developing ones - own language and philosophy of
architecture to guide towards exploring alternative building forms for afferent activities which help
in understanding the relationship of structure and possibilities in building forms. Design problems
should include problems of simple and complex nature i.e. temple, gathering places, exhibition
pavilion, clubs, cafe, community hall, museums, art gallery, pavilion, sport complexes, nursing

OBJECTIVES
All the four years of learning architectural design and allied subjects. Culminate in design thesis
project to motivate a student in investigative attitude individual methodology, thus to train in
handling projects independently.
PROJECT
Each student will select a subject of an architectural interest in consultation with the committee
appointed by the Head / Principal of the Dept. /Institution. The subject will have to be approved at
the beginning of the eighth semester. The evolution of the this is project will be continuous and
the student will have to give atleast three seminars/ submissions before the final submission. The
thesis project shall be submitted in the - form of bound report, drawings, models etc. in a manner
as stipulated in THESIS MANUAL on the date prescribed by the University.
Student at X semester have to prepare a detail thesis Project which should incorporate as much
as possible the elements of Research and Modern Techniques Tools of Science, Technology &
Engineering. The Project thus allotted to the students should be specific and clear goal oriented.
Theoretical / Study Research should be given preference.

follows:
i.
The internal Jury will be of six stages of equal Marks it i.e. 10% of the overall Sessional Marks
allotted in the Scheme.
The internal assessments should be as follows:
Stage-1 First Review (Literature, Data Collection and Site Study)
Stage- II Second Review (Case Study Analysis & Inferences )
Stage- III Third Review (Finalization of Requirement and Conceptual Design)
Stage- IV Fourth Review (Revised Conceptual)
Stage- V Fifth Review (Pre-Final Drawing and Draft Report)
Stage-VI Internal Final Review (Submission of all Drawings, Draft Report and Model) The
Institute should prepare Thesis manual on the basis of their School thought and Local
Infrastructure condition and incorporate the above stages accordingly. Institute should preferably
adopt Practicing Architect/ Professional / Educationist at each stage of internal Jury.
b) The external Jury ( Final VIVA / VOCE) Will be conducted at the end of semester/ Completion
of Thesis Project
The constitution of External Final Jury should be as follows:
2. Three External Examiners out of which at least one should be from Profession/ Practicing
Architect. The examiner from Profession / Practice should be expert in the Project Students have
dealt with.
3. The Internal Members of the Jury will be as follows:
