Electrical Engineer (Power Systems)


Location: Robinsons Cybergate Plaza, Boni Mandaluyong
Description:
The Engineer 2 (Power Systems Engineer) performs power systems and engineering studies,
and supports Field and Customer activities, including data collection, one-line revisions, and
electrical system analysis. The PSE typically works with a Senior Power Systems Engineer to
support project scope.
Responsibilities

Performs low- to medium-complexity engineering studies, including but not


limited to Protective Device Short Circuit and Coordination studies, Arc Flash
studies, Ground Fault Studies, Harmonic Studies, Reliability studies, Power
Factor studies, and Load Flow studies.
Collects and processes data on the customers electrical power system,
documenting the customers electrical system and performing other activities
that are pre-requisite for performing an engineering study.
Generates technically and grammatically correct customer reports detailing
the result of an engineering study, and coordinates review and approval with
global counterparts prior to customer release.
Peer-reviews engineering studies performed by peer Power Systems
Engineers, and provides feedback/corrections as applicable.
Assists in documenting Power Systems tools, standards, technical knowledge,
and team policies and procedures.

Requirements

BS/MS Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited University or College


4 years of professional experience in the field of electrical servicing and
design.
Familiarity with standards from National Electrical Code (NEC), Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and American National (ANSI).
Experience with protective relays (differential protection, motor protective
relays, transformer protection, feeder protection, etc.) and low voltage
protective devices.
Experience in reviewing and analyzing control schematics, 1-line drawings,
and DC schematics for relay protection schemes.
Working knowledge of short circuit calculations and similar/related studies.
